A magical place with 2 authentic 'Last Supper' murals, including a complete restoration of 1 from a flood. I felt very peaceful here, and not much of a crowd in comparison to Piazza del Duomo. Definitely worth the visit, and highly recommended.

A fantastic place. The queue maybe large depending on the time of visit but a must visit for all history and art lovers. You can see how the statue of Dante beside this basilica stands out.

Very interesting and historical place. A must. It's like in the Indiana Jones movie. Tombs on the floor and a lot of places that make you feel like tere is a secret door. Magical.

So beautiful! I love coming here for the view and street food as well as shopping. Great tours available. The area is usually crowded and busy, but it's a must see during your trip!

A fantastic place to visit. We queued during the lunch break, and got in very quickly once it opened. Being a wet day may have resulted in less people around. Once inside we were greeted with some stunning works and obviously history. By the time we left it had filled up with significantly more people.

Amazing how many beautiful churches exist in Florence; this one is no exceptions. Santa Croce is a bit off the main tourist path so you get some relief from the crowds by visiting this one.

They made me cover my legs and shoulders, yet I saw Italians with shorts and sleeveless tops. And ironic as half of the sculptures and paintings show bare breasts and penis '. I feel I was discriminated against as Italians were allowed to wear short skirts and i was not. Many other churches require this, of all people entering. Not just Americans. Beautiful, but not my favorite experience of Florence

It's like the Duomo but less visited. Less people around it and a great place to spend some time just contemplating it. Even if you don't have the intention, you will end up here eventually.

Very reasonable price to enter, there are free tours in different languages, impressive church with artworks and architecture, not to mention it's a burial site for so many well-known peoples along the history of Italy.

My son and I visited this Basilica.we waited for the security guards to unlock the gates. Still use a huge old skeleton key. Once inside you can't take photos. It was very dark. Still remarkable and a gift to visit.
