The Hotel is very nice very very Clean / nice rooms. Downside / Is Lunch and Dinner is @ an other Building a 10 minute walk Exactly 10 minute Walk. Other then that its a perfect stay if u loose your Flight or Your Flight gets canceled.

Highly recomened! Very close to the apt. 45min driving to downtown Reykjavik. Easy to find. Our family double room was wonderfull. Big enought for 4 to 6 people. Clean. Reception staff very willing. Cozy outside spa&sauna for free. Breakfast good and big enought. We give 5 stars.

I was very satisfied here. Rooms were clean every day, breakfast was satisfying for each member of my family, lobby is cozy and the staff is willing. Spa is open 24/7, towels and bathrobe at the disposal for free. Highly recommend this hotel!

Clean and comfortable rooms and very friendly staff except for the big blond breakfast lady. Place is remote so good to have a car to get about.

Was very nice. We got stranded in Iceland for two nights. Airlines chose this hotel. Very clean. Inviting room. Wonderful living/congregating room. Very comfortable and nice place to converse with people from all around the world. Service was superb.

Although this hotel is 45km from Reykjavik (and even further beyond to the myriad wonders of Iceland's landscape) it is just within earshot of the Keflavik Airport, on what appears to be an old army base. This means we can make it to our early morning flight without too much fuss or effort. However, it's not particularly easy to find, being among a large collection of rather similar buildings; there is some roadside signage, though - it's worth having a willing copilot to look out for "Eldey Airport Hotel" signs.
When we finally arrived it was a welcoming hotel, with plenty of parking and very friendly staff.
The rooms are spacious; the ones we occupied on the first floor (200+) had en-suite bathrooms - with a rather ingenious and somewhat unintuitive way to switch to the shower: pull down the centre 'nozzle' of the bath tap - and very comfortable beds.
Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of delicious hot (sausages, beans, eggs and toast) and cold (cereal, yogurt and melon) treats and good coffee to start the day, and we couldn't have wanted for more as a "home base" for our adventures.
There's a small gym, a sauna and an outdoor hot tub, and bathrobes to wear in between.
If I have any minor gripes, it would be that the airport can get a little loud depending on the wind direction and the position of the room - one of the sides of the hotel faces alongside the runway - and the leakage of light from the top of the curtains meant that the long summer nights kept me company until late. But there are earplugs and eye masks for that - small matters indeed.
We have had a great stay here, and would definitely visit again!response / report this review -

Basic amenities, simple, cold breakfast, but great mattress and bedding. We were just staying overnight as the location isn't ideal for making this your base for trips around the area, but it's definitely a great location for sleeping one night before our after your flight. What really made this hotel stand out is their staff. Everyone was super helpful, especially Karl at the front desk. He showed us all the bus connections to take us to the car rental company, even gave us his own gas card, and called the rental place to pick us up (which they didn't want to do when we called ourselves).

Eldey hotel was lovely, just 10min drive from KEF airport and very clean and homey! The rooms are basic, but still ensuite bath (great water pressure) with walk-in closet and in-room safe! The lobby area has a nice bar, and cozy seating area with couches and desks. The 24HR reception desk was great to have, and very friendly staff! We LOVED the outdoor hot tub!

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was GREAT! They assisted us with transportation to the airport the following morning, and gave us the telephone number so we could contact the taxi company directly if needed.
The room was nice and the black out shade worked well. There was an actual bathtub!
Breakfast was included in the price, but we were not able to try it due to our schedule.
There was no restaurant at the time we visited, however, they are working to build one. There are no other restaurants in the area, so be prepared to drive to Keflavik or Vogar for dinner.
We would consider staying here again. We recommend this hotel especially if you have an early flight the following day!response / report this review -

We stayed here for one night on our way out of Iceland. The rooms were clean with good shades (great for Iceland Summers). There was also a free breakfast which was a nice surprise. Easy to get to the airport and easy to find.

Great spot for a brief stop over. Easy to get to and they have a fun Happy Hour. Note that a room with two twins means that the beds are right next to each other and look like a King. Each has its own set of blankets so it isn't a problem, but they are adjacent.

Recommended for 1-2 nights stay at the most. There isn't a elevator so bags will have to be dragged up the stairs. Rooms are quite clean but the place can get quite crowded and it's popular with your groups. Also recommended to check your water boilers before using them as I found rice in mine.

The Icelandic Health Hotel is an excellent choice if you're arriving late or early from the Keflavik airport. We stayed here for the night after we got in close to midnight and found it perfectly accommodating. Close enough from the airport and they offer an adequate breakfast with a variety of different foods. It's a great choice for getting some rest before moving onto your next big adventure in Iceland!
