Great coffee and atmosphere right on the harbor. Great place to spend a little bit relaxing next to all the whale watching tours, puffin tours, and northern lights tours. Also very close to city center and hotels.

This place is amazing!! Such good food! I had the Icelandic fish stew and it was out of this world. A little expensive, but priced similarly as any other high end seafood restaurant in the US. Def worth a visit!!

Best cod I had on Iceland! Highly recommend! Unassuming place, with great wait staff and a apparently a chef that thinks he's working at one of the best restaurants on the island. I think we also had the mussels, and they were fantastic too. The beer went down easy too.

After two weeks of traveling through Iceland, this was the perfect finishing touch! We went for the full menu which was a great idea (see 3 courses in the pictures, forgot to shot desert (too yummy)). The food was in one word: fantastic. The staff was also incredibly nice. The atmosphere in the restaurant was serene, but joyful. I would definitely recommend this place!

Its a mad ting, i dont really like fish but i ordered the catfish and it was pretty peng. House cocktail to wash it down which was on point. Nice setting and layout on next to the water, can't go wrong blud.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant, nice and cozy atmosphere, and the food is highly recommendable. Upstairs you have a decent view over the harbour. You can't go wrong here.

My girlfriend and I ate here for lunch on our first day in Iceland. It was a very quick walk from the downtown hostel, had a beautiful view of the Old Harbor, and the daily specials were reasonably priced. I had the Mushroom Cream Soup and Beef Goulash, and my girlfriend had the fish of the day. The food was delicious and kept us full for the next four hours as we walked around Reykjavik. The service was also superb.

This is a great little place overlooking the harbour. Close walking distance from the Icelandair marina hotel and the Harpa concert hall. Good place for a romantic dinner, great food and service, very well presented. Lamb was cooked to perfection and baked cod was another excellent local dish. Typical Iceland prices, but it's a great little restaurant.

We get a place for two in the early evening. It was very loud, the tables are near to each other, not very comfortable. Service ok, food also. When you come, first take a look in the room and it´s loudness.

Went to Höfnin with my bf to celebrate our engagement and we were not disapointed ! We made a reservation and eventhough there was a group of 30 people that arrive at the same time, the service was perfect. The quality of food is amazing and we ate every last bit of what was in our plate even if we were not hungry anymore. The cook came to our table a couple of times and answered all of our questions about our delicious meal. Thank you for making our night even better !

Lovely food including some using traditional ingredients, very polite staff, cozy environment. Prices higher than some even in this part of Iceland but the food and entire experience, I thought, was worth it. Beautiful harbour views from some tables

My family loved it here! Family of 5, we all got something different and everyone said their food was the best. Menu was not that large, and prices were a little higher, but thats the area. The guy with the mustache was very kind but the rest of the staff seemed a little annoyed. All in all, spend the money on the food, and it is worth it.

Amazing food with a great view. The staff is very friendly, and it is not uncommon to see the owner walking around helping out. There are many great seafood options, as well as lamb which are both very fresh every day. It is very relaxing to sit by the harbor and watch the ships come and go. A reservation is helpful, especially in the summer if you are trying to eat around a reasonable time.

This was our first meal once arriving in Iceland. We could not have asked for anything more. The prices were on par with the rest of the places in the area and the food was Superior. We enjoyed a trout insides as well as pulled lamb and lamb lollipops. We also enjoyed a delicious bottle of wine that we could not find anywhere else I'm Island. It was a beautiful dinner and we would highly recommend. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Excellent food! The prices are high but maybe slightly lower than other places in Reykjavik. We had the soup as a main, the fishstew and the haddock. They were all delicious, although i may recommend especially the first 2. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is cosy. The portions are generous.

Amazing food (I had the trout, best ever) and great, friendly service. We arrived without a reservation and they were full but told us to come back in half an hour. When we did (after visiting a nearby bar) they still didn't have space so the owner/chef took us upstairs and gave us each a free glass of champagne while we looked over the menu. When a table still didn't become free they opened the upstairs just for us, meaning we got a private floor, with great service and a great view over the marina. And some of the best food I've ever tasted!

My God, this restaurant was amazing! Prices in Iceland are very high and this restaurant is no exception but compared to other places, it is not too expensive.
We were greeted with a smile and felt instantly welcome. The restaurant was almost full but they quickly found us a table. The staff are friendly and will happily teach you how to correctly pronounce their dishes - in a very polite way.
The food was so good! The portions were very reasonable and while we were waiting we got warm bread and what we believe is butter with some spices - which they restocked for us and at no additional cost! A very nice touch. Presentation of the dish was great.
All in all very tasty indeed, in a warm cosy - but very classy - restaurant. Totally recommend!
