Food was beautifull. The fish and the meat sourced locally so fresh and tasty. Pricey? Yes. But it is iceland. Well worth it.

Don't waste your time unless you get the porterhouse. The porterhouse was tasty but WAy (10.400 krones or $104) too expensive! Kitschy presentation steaks serviced in wooden planks all the juices absorbed in the wood. Questioned me why I did not want salted meat or seasoning. Char grill was dirty. Service sucked my son in law questioned the cut of meat and got a lame reply. Servicer was bitchy. Don't go there! Enjoy steak other places in the world Eat the fresh fish dinners while in Iceland So many more and better options! The lobsterhouse or Messinn and Cafe Loki local fish meals

Arrived without booking and was lucky enough to get a table. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu was good. However the quality of the ribeye steak just wasn’t as good as expected. There was a fair amount of gristle to be found instead of good meat. Prices per 100g, would advise choosing a different cut (even if not your favourite) to get best value. My wife’s Whale & Horse surf& turf was an unexpected delight!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Staff are brilliant, Yes it is a little pricey but it is 100% worth it, the best tasting food I have ever had! Wasn't a single thing we didn't love and to top it off it was my birthday which we didn't tell the staff however they overheard us speaking about it and at the end of the meal they kindly brought me out a desert platter with a candle which definitely made my day!!

Excellent food and service! Highly recommend the horse filet and the lobster tail side; both were cooked amazingly.

The staff were friendly and tried their best to accommodate our English-speaking group (easier for some of them than others :D ).

A little pricey, but well worth it in our opinions.

Incredible place. Nice atmosphere, really good service, an incredibly accurate chef and wine master (sommelier) but first and foremost, an incredible menu with meats of an exceptional quality, prepared and grilled with perfection exactly the way you want from "bleu" to really well done. We recommend the lamb (should it be the filet pr the prime) but the most stunning is definitely the "surf and turf" plate, which is half whale meat and half horse meat. Unbelievable. Congrats also for the very complete wine menu (surely the best in the whole country). Good to exceptional French wines but sold 10 times their french price (it's a long trip to bring them here in perfect state, probably?). You could without hesitation prefer Italian wines or the fabulous South African ones, which better fit with whale steack.

Just perfaction.. i recomend the steak platter. 4 different types of steak 1 kg of meat so you need to share :)
Cool place with good servers and GREAT steaks been here 2 times allready good both times.

We arrived right as they opened in the evening and were able to be seated right away without reservation. The wait staff was very polite and respectful. The food was very delicious with amazing presentation.

Called in with friends. Lovely service, huge wine choice, great staff. The food was excellent, as was the choice, we tried whale and reindeer in the mixed starter and it was lovely. Would defiantly recommend.

Stunning quality. The grill minke whale is just perfect with good combination of sauce. The horse steak is good as well, not overcooked and it is juicy.

Great food - such good meat selection and cooked perfectly! Great service - prompt, attentive, friendly! Great location - both inside & out! Loved my whole meal! Will come back during future visits!
