A bit bumpy road to get to it (6-8km /15min dirt road drive), but the cliffs are very scenic, worth it!
This place is absolutely amazing! Fields of volcanic rock leading to rugged cliffs overlooking the ocean. The wind, the water, and the birdlife, I could wander around this place all day long, and I will the next time I visit. The roads leading back to the lighthouse are very rough. Do not attempt unless you have a 4x4. I visited in March of 2018 and can't wait to return someday.
Beautiful orange lighthouse with blue sky. You can take many good pictures here.
Crazy strong wind。hold the car door tightly when get off the car。
By far the best viewpoint in the entire national park. Be sure to get there when the sun is setting as it will show you the most amazing lightshow you’ve seen in Iceland, well, definitely a close second to an aurora-filled night, though!
The drive to the lighthouse is a bit of a bumpy one on a gravel road that is just wide enough for a single car to drive on it. A 4x4 is recommended but it should be doable in a normal car as well during both winter and summer.
Very bad road, and though the landscape is unearthly the lighthouse is nothing spectacular by itself.
Great views. Road to lighthouse is narrow and fun to ride :)
Cold and very windy, road not so good.
Not very crowded at all had the place to our selves off the beaten path need 4x4
Good place, it's worth to visit.
great bird watching
Beautiful place to see cliff-dwelling birds
