Very beautiful black cliffs and a sand beach in the middle. Quite a dramatic view!
Definitively worth a stop. Quick walk and you can see the sea crushing against the lava rocks. Small beach, but so cute ! There are lighthouses next to this beach, if you continue the dirt road !
It was a quick stop off the main road but still worth seeing.
I went in a really windy day. The waves crashing along the rocks was pretty neat. In the summer it might be a cool place to stop and have lunch, there were a few picnic tables
Nice place to have short look at the small beach. It is as always in Iceland black sand beach and you can have here also very nice swim if it is not cold. I love this place.
A golden beach instead of the usual black Icelandic beaches. The black rocks contrast nicely with the yellow sand and blue sea. Not many people around here so it is very pleasing to walk around and enjoy the scenery.
The beach is not something spectacular, the surrounding lava landscape is great though!
Beautiful small beach with black-white-yellow sand, for a change.
Skarðsvík is a small and rather exceptional beach in the landscape in Iceland. Surrounded by harsh and bare black lava, the soft orange-yellow beach conveys a convenient contrast to the surrounding landscape. Due to the depth and the bright and clean ocean by the beach the color is a bit light blue and turquoise only enhancing the whole experience of visiting the beach.
Nice beach! The yellow sand looks great in between the black rocks. Worth a stop.
Really beutiful
Jolie plage de sable clair au milieu des falaises noires basaltiques. Un endroit plaisant où s'arrêter.
Beautiful beach to visit if you're doing a tour of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The sand is very yellow and it makes a nice contrast with the black rocks.
It's a bit off the main road. I think a 4x4 is recommended to get there because the road that leads to Skarðsvík Beach is unpaved.
One of the most beautiful beaches in Iceland.
Really a nice beach in Iceland. :)
