Waterfalls are very impressive and nice. Barking is a bit expensive 700 ISK but you don’t have much choice.

Parking costs 700ISK for the day and the ticket is valid for all parking in this area.
The machine seems to accept all major credit and debit cards.
Don’t forget to walk over to Gljúfrabúi and have a look there as well as admire Seljalandsfoss.response / report this review -

Plenty of parking with free toilet facilities and a little souvenir shop. Parking fee when we went in Oct 2017 was 700ISK.

The parking lot has gotten busy over the years, but there's a quick turnover and always spots available. On my last visit (June 2017) there was now a food cart here serving up pylsur, sandwiches, and a variety of desserts don't dismiss this as some tourist trap food cart; this was the best food cart I think I've come across in the entirety of Iceland. Everything there was *delicious* and surprisingly priced very well (cheap as far as Iceland goes).

We visited as part of the south of Iceland tour. The waterfall was one of our last stops. The waterfall is only a short walk from the car park on a flat path. The waterfall isn't as large as others in Iceland, but it is still amazing to see and very unique. The best place to see the waterfall is from behind it. The path behind is rocky and uneven, so walking boots are recommended. When you walk behind the waterfall, prepare to get wet! (Full waterproofs are a necessity)

Spectacular falls you can walk around and behind, but be prepared to get wet if you do venture behind the falls as the wind creates whirling most like rain.
