  We stumbled upon aurora lodge as we were traveling ring road, and we are so glad we did! The hosts were gracious and so accommodating. My only wish is that we had more time to spend here, as we came late at night and had to leave early the next morning. Hot tubs, a beautiful common area with a fire looking out at two volcanoes, and quaint rooms.

  The room, common area, and hotels were excellent. Loved having a drink and watching the fishermen. Wish we could have stayed longer!

  Super location with super staff and food but let down by organisation. Dedicated to fishing but accommodation pushed to the limit by influx of general tourists.

  Sehr miserabel für den Preis!!! Sehr kleine Lodge ohne versprochene Sicht in die schöne Landschaft, keine Reinigung bei 3 Nächten, Frühstück nur von 6:00-8:00 Uhr, um 7:30 Uhr gab es nur noch Toast und Knäckebrot, einen 4-Scheiben-Toaster für den vollbesetzten Frühstückraum, auch auf Nachfrage wurde das fast leere Büfett nicht aufgefüllt. Das tolle Ambiente im Haupthaus, die Hotpots, die Nähe zur Ringstraße und die schöne Landschaft machen das sehr sehr schlechte Management nicht wett. Wir können nur allen abraten, dieses Lodge Hotel zu buchen.

  A fishing and hunting lodge being converted to a hotel, the setting is lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are small without many amenities.

  Love this place. Clean, welcoming, and two spas under the northern lights. We loved our stay and wished it could have been longer!
