Amazing English Breakfast. The toast and butter alone would justify eating here, but everything else was great too. Clean plates! Coffee was wonderful, and generous with free refills on filter coffee (even if you get an espresso drink). Owner was kind and explained their menu to us, frequently stopping by to check if we were enjoying everything. Ambiance was light and warm: a nice contrast to the cold, rainy day outside. Prices are high–by American standards. Compared to other Icelandic meals, it was quite reasonable.
Cannot recommend enough!
I LOVE this place. My local friend took me to visit, as he'd told me about the incredible coffee and the adorable couple who own it and I wanted to see it for myself (both are true!).
Upon arrival, we ordered coffee and also one sandwich (I didn't think originally that the sandwiches looked that good). When it came, toasted and served beautifully with homemade onion jam, and smelling gorgeous, we had to order another one. Really tasty, one of the best I've ever had.
The coffee was also superb. And when you finish it, you can have as much filter coffee as you wish, so it's actually good value for money.
People keep mentioning the prices but to be honest, it's Iceland. Maybe, coming from another Nordic country, I thought the prices were fine. These people need to make a living! Can't wait to visit Iceland again and come back to this place :)
I just had the most sumptuous hot chocolate made with a blend of high quality milk and dark chocolate. It was so delicious that I just had to write this. The coffee is always amazing here too!
EDITED.
I put 3 stars for the overpriced coffee but since the owner was kind enough to explain the hard work they put into his business I understand why. I wish he didn’t assume I was a tourist though since I have been living in Iceland for a while now but I understand it’s not personal and they have a large amount of international people visiting daily.
I will definitely drop by to say hi again since we work close to each other.
Stopped in for coffee and hot chocolate and ended up having scones as well. All three items were very tasty and fresh.
Stopped by on the way from the airport to Reykjavik. Great coffee and extremely nice barrista. Coffee is a bit pricey but not too crazy for Iceland and it is excellent quality.
Great place away from the city crowd. Good coffee and food at decent prices. The cafes decoration and photo exhibits make the place rather cool and interesting to check out.
Lots of information on where their coffee are sourced and the Latte has a bit more kick then other cafes.
This is such a cozy, lovely place for a drink or treat. David was so friendly and kind! Plus, free refills of drip coffee with our hot cocoa and espresso orders. Totally recommended.
LOVE this place-10 stars if I could do that. Not only is it the best coffee we had during our trip but the pastry was to die for.
We had a lovely time chatting it up with David and that so made our morning. This place was recommended to us by our AirBNB host and he did not let us down. Well Worth the stop.
Thank you David for an amazing breakfast and chat. We hope to see you again before leaving Iceland

Best espresso and coffee anywhere outside 101 Reykjavik. Amazing cakes and stuff to refuel my bike rides
Lovely place! Excellent food and coffee. Very kind and helpful staff.
Excellent espresso. House made scones with clotted cream are highly recommended. The extremely friendly owners are committed to their car. I couldn't recommend this establishment more if you're in the area.
This was our first visit to Iceland and the first cafe we entered. The coffee and food were excellent and the service was fantastic. If you have children it is very kid friendly as well. We'll be back again for sure!
Excellent hidden gem with a fantastic full English breakfast and excellent coffee
Happy and helpful staff
What more can you ask for?
Wonderful place to stop and get a coffee and homemade bread, jam and fresh cheese. The owner is super friendly and a great conversation.
Really incredible little spot to grab a coffee and a delicious breakfast or treat. Yes the prices are a little high but that is iceland- come knowing that and you won't find this place any more expensive than anywhere else. David does a great job and I recommend this to everyone!
We really loved this quaint coffee shop. They play a large selection of vinyl records and have many "cool" antique pieces around the shop. I would have given it 5 stars but it's hardly affordable to go every morning. The coffee and food is very expensive but from all of the awards around there, the owner is a 5 star barista.
Excellent coffee and food (and cake and brownies!) in a laid back vintage setting. Very cozy atmosphere.
Service is always great and they have a good selection of beers and some wines and cocktails as well.
A must visit if you're in the area.
