Really nice set of waterfalls and basalt columns. Walk was uphill but not strenuous with one river crossing so wear waterproof footwear.
Amazing set of massive waterfalls with spectacular volcanic columns at the front of the cliff faces.
One of the most beautiful places I've ever been!
We stopped for a look on our way up to Hengifoss. This one is not as impressive, but worth a stop since you're there anyway! The walk in general was amazing, and well worth a detour away from the Ring Road.
Nice waterfall but in winter you can't get close to it unfortunately.
Hole is fantastic the falls are To die for
Very nice stone structure. We walked there while it was raining end it was worth the trip!
A liitle bit far from the main road but worth to come
Small hike to get to thia waterfall. There's another one a little more up the trail but Litlanesfoss is the first one.
Nice hike before seeing Hengifoss!
Nice hike up to the falls. There are 2 falls along the same trail and i liked the rock formation and waterfall from the first one more. Not sure of the name of that fall, but attached pictures. There is this nice viewpoint of Litlanesfoss about 3/4 of the way on the hike. In my opinion you are not getting much more view for the remaining hike, i thought it was just as good from that point.
Easy uphill hike from the parking lot. Pretty much a groomed trail. 45 minutes return from the parking lot, unless you go further to next falls (which you should).
Great hike, a little challenging. Good view of the fall with a rainbow in direct sunlight in mid day
You'll think it's close, but it's not
Beautiful waterfall on the way to hengifoss, surrounded by impressive basalt columns!
This waterfall is something totally unique and is a must see. People come for Hengifoss which is just another 30min up the hill but in my opinion is not nearly as impressive as Litlanesfoss. Come see a real wonder of nature as the moss covered basalt columns surround this fall.
Definitely worth a visit, amazing basalt column waterfall
One of the prettiest set of waterfalls in Iceland. Definitely worth the hike. There's a parking place and a map of the trail next to the road.
