I never got a chance to stay here so my 5 stars is based on the experience leading up to not staying here. I had booked here for a non refundable night just to find out my airline cancelled the flight and would be rescheduling closer to the day. I contacted the hostel and told them what was happening. There was no hesitation to help me out. Thank you. I’ll be rebooking when new flights are confirmed and solid this time.

Friendly service, room with private bathroom and a shared kitchen with enough pans and an oven to make your own dinner. Local spa is great too!

The Hostel is situated in a great area, towards the north of Iceland's golden circle. It is very close to some of the circle's highlights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very tidy and clean, and offered towels to use for free. The Hostel offered breakfast, it had a bar and snooker table was there for guests to use. The price was also great. I would definitely recommend.

This place was a real surprise. On our entire two week journey we never had such clean facilities. The kitchen was well equipped. The breakfast was also good. One star has to be subtracted due to the uncomfortable bed and the thin walls, which let most of the sounds of the other guests/bathroom through.

Very nice owner who upgraded me from a dorm room to a two bed room for free. Kitchen lacks a little of equipment and it's not quite cheap but possibly the cheapest option around. Bathrooms are cozy as well. There is not a lot of traffic but everybody is going to the Geysir and to the waterfall so you can definitely get a lift there!

Okay hostel for sleeping. There's no real gathering area aside from the small kitchen because the dining room is set up like a restaurant and there isn't a living space like you'd find in most hostels. Also, just say you have a sleeping bag or you'll get charged 1000 isk for a fitted sheet and a pillow case. I could have bought my own from the store and it would have been cheaper.

very nice hostel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The Fontana Hot Pool was great as well and closeby. there were great northern lights and the hostel is on the way to the Geysir.
