Really nice pool! They have pools, cold tubs, hot tubs, and a salt water bath. Of course you need to get naked and shower before getting in, but that's just the culture.

Lovely place for a quick dip. Outdoor pool is nice and warm so is good even on a cold day, and you can finish with the hot tubs.

1x10 lane olympic-size indoor pool (28 °C), 1 outdoor lap pool (28°C), multiple hot tubs ranging from 40 degrees to 44 degrees Celsius (one of them is sea water and the others are from geothermal springs) and an extremely warm steam room with a strong smell of sulfur. The rules are very extensive and enforced. No water or shoes in the locker room. A full nude soap shower before going to any of the facilities. Bring your towel with you to the shower or pool because you have to dry off completely before returning to the locker room. Lockers are included with the price of admission and controlled by an RF wristband that you received upon entry.

We went in February and it was an interesting experience. Def something to try though. It seemed like we were the only non locals that were there so if you want an authentic experience I would say try it out.

Missed the Blue Lagoon? This is just as good, if not better. Fantastic facility, reasonably priced and no time constraints. We swam in minus 5 weather in lovely warm water, then dipped in and out of hot tubs ranging from 38-40", perfect!

Laugardalslaug was amazing! The change rooms were so clean and organised and once you got into to pools they were great. The pool area near the glass windows as you come out of the change rooms had a relaxing, natural looking atmosphere. Then they are about 6 other spas (although not quite as pretty) varying from 38°C to 44°C, a sea water spa and finally a small dipping spa were the temperature was between 5-8°C. After bathing in the hot spas I mustered the courage to drip in the 5-8°C spa, which (expectedly) felt absolutely freezing, but moments later Absolutely invigorating!!! And the best thing was that I got in for free after purchasing a City Card Pass. Absolutely great all round 😀

Absolutely amazing experience. Swimming in an Olympic size pool and sitting in tubs of steaming water between 38 & 44 degrees when the air temperature is -1 with snow all around!! Recommended!!

This place is awesome. Great find for travelers to Reykjavik. Probably the only reasonably priced activity in the country.

Nice thermal pools, lap lanes, steam baths and showers. Cool entry system with bracelets that scan to open and lock the lockers and stuff.

Highly recommend it.

Much cleaner facilities than I was expecting. I highly recommend you find an aerial map of the complex before visiting for your first time because the locations of the hot tubs are not obvious (except the one featured in a bunch of photos).

We never found the steam bath or steam room or whatever it was supposed to be. That was somewhat disappointing, but overall it was a great experience. Remember to wash well or they'll stop you and tell you to rewash.

A cheap and perfect place to chill out after a hard working day. Yes you read it right, cheap. 950 tbe entrance fee and 4400 for the pass which you can use 10 times. 2 swimming pool, 6 jacuzzi and 1 steam sauna. Try the sea water jacuzzi!!

Forget paying a fortune to go to the blue lagoon. Take a 30min walk along the seafront from central Reykjavik and go here. Loads of geothermal pools at different temperatures, slide and proper pool for lengths. Not "posh" but don't let this put you off. We paid £13 and spent a couple of hours there and had a fantastic relaxing time.

The newest and nicest public pool in the area. Facility is large and excellent. Its very clean.
Has various temperature hot tubs. And the large pool also has slides for kids (and adults).
This place is an easy walk from downtown on a nics day. 30-40 min walk along the shoreline. You can also take taxi or bus.

Been to Blue Lagoon twice in the last 2 years and its way over rated and expensive. Also takes so much time to get there. But this pool is close by and inexpensive so its easily fit into your schedule for the day.

Excellent facilities. 4 different hot tubs, large pool area, an ice bath, steam room, etc. only $9 (900 krona) entrance fee. Skip the over priced, man-made Blue Lagoon and come here. Also, I found out when I went with my mom that senior citizens (66+) get in for free!

Great place to spend some relaxing time if you're in the area. We were all over Iceland, and this was the most impressive pool we saw, in terms of faculties. Several pools, many different temperature hot tubs, a great waterslide (even for adults), and very clean and modern change rooms. We ended up buying a card of passes and came back many times.

This was our first stop in Iceland! We went soon after it opened, on a Tuesday, and there were not the massive crowds I've read about. Mostly little kids in swimming class and older folks. This place really has it all: large swimming pool for water frolic, large swimming pool for laps, steam bath, several hot pots, deluxe slide, and a very nice outdoor soaking area. It rained the entire time we were there and it didn't matter. Nobody takes notice; you just keep soaking.

I had no desire to drive clear out to the Blue Lagoon and pay their vastly inflated price so we chose this in-town pool because it was close. First of all, the staff are very helpful and nice. And speak excellent English. There are quite a few rules but when you reach the pools and see how clean the water and the pool areas are you will understand why the rules are there. I was having a lot of back pain and booked a one hour massage. Price was reasonable the the massage therapist was good, very good.

We spent 4 hours here happily switching between hot tubs, heated lap pools, and the water slide. This is a great destination for families but isn't overrun with kids. A steal of a deal at 900isk per adult. We enjoyed this far more than the Blue Lagoon

There's no better way in Reykjavik to unwind after a day of hiking and adventures. This pool is especially nice with the variety of bathing options for those not used to the European styled pools. The pools themselves are great, plenty of space to swim or just relax in one of the many hotter areas. The steam room was especially nice and I didn't try it but, there was a massage area as well. A must try.

Really great place to unwind at the end of the day. I recommend going as many evenings as possible while in Rekyavik. Very relaxing outdoor, hearted spa pools. Very clean changerooms & facilities. Lovely.

Laugardalslaug is my favorite pool in Reykjavík because of the diverse range of bathing options and the spacious and clean amenities. I have a membership in conjunction with my World Class gym membership, but have also used the amenities on the pool-only side. Both are very clean, and have varying levels of privacy. The pool-only side does offer a private shower stall for those who are shy when showering before entering the swimming pool. It is a very relaxed environment. It is an excellent place to bring children because of the large water slide. Younger children can use a smaller water slide and an aquatic obstacle course. There is also a unisex steam room amidst the hot tubs.

Extraordinary clean, relaxing swimming pool. There is no permission to take photos in the swimming pool, so its difficult to show anything. One big swimming pool, 50 m, big slide, four sitting pool with thermal water 36-44 C degree water plus a pool with heated ocean water. Big play area for kids with shallow water, where parents also can sit and chat. Pool rules in Iceland are very strict: before you enter the pool area you have to shower, wash your hair and your body with soap. Soap is provided in pool. Shoes have to be left outside. Respect the rules please.
