The view is incredible from this small hiking trail but it can get pretty slippery so exercise caution as usual.

Worth the short detour. 10 minute detour off main road. Really quiet when we arrived, had it to ourselves for nearly an hour. Stunning when frozen over.

This place was not on my map or in my guidebook but was one of the most beautiful places we've seen. Well worth the drive between Hvammstangi and Blonduos.
