Visited the museum and stayed for the restaurant! We've been in Iceland for 11 days and this museum and the meal were some of the best we've had. Homemade, friendly, beautiful setting and delicious homemade food. Great value too! Tried everything and loved it all! Definitely worth the time to stop here!

Amazingly tasty fish soup, huge portion for a reasonable price. Unfortunately didn’t have any space for a cake left 😂

Cozy little place under a museum. They offer cake buffet which feature a collection of great cakes. My recommendation is the skyr cake with wild berry. Berry drink is also a must try.

amazing buffet with two soups, three different main courses, a lot of side dishes, different cakes - we loved the traditional icelandic cuisine

A beautiful, quaint spot run by amazing people. We ordered the cake buffet for about $22 a piece and enjoyed some of the most delicious homemade cake. The owner is so friendly and made us feel right at home. I would definitely recommend.

I went here for lunch after seeing Hengifoss, since it isn't far away. If I remember correctly it was about 3500 ISK for the buffet, and there were many things to choose from. Almost all of the items seemed to be home cooked. The woman running the place was very friendly, and helpfully told me about everything on the table.
