My husband and I had a fantastic experience with icelandic mountain guides for our honeymoon. We did a half day glacier climb and walk with Nico and had a blast! Nico ensured our groups safety at all times and gave us so many fun details and facts about the glacier and volcano. It was a beautiful and memorable day that I will forever ve grateful for. Nico was not only a great guide but a fabulous person! He gave us great recommendations for the rest of our honeymoon which we absolutely loved. Thank you Nico and icelandic mountain guides for such a great day!!!

Tryggvi “T” was one of the best guides I have ever had. T was able to accommodate everyone in our group from the adventurous ones to the timid ones. He was extremely knowledgeable about Iceland, the glacier, and the surrounding area. T showed true hospitality as we were the first ones on the mountain and last ones out of the parking lot. It was an A+ trip!

I had high hopes for my glacier walk, but just over an hour before the scheduled hike, we were contacted and told the tour had been canceled due to weather. The drive from Reykjavik to get to the glacier is 2 1/2 hours. Thus, we were half-way to the meeting point before they tried to contact us. It is understandable that weather conditions change quickly, but just a little bit more planning on the tour company's part could have saved us from a very long drive and let us adjust our schedule to participate in some other available activity. When you're in a country for a limited amount of time, every minute counts so it was a big disappointment to lose more than 1/2 day, even though the drive was beautiful.

We had Pad as our guide on a glacier walk, and we could not have been more pleased. He kept us safe and taught us how to use our crampons correctly, and he was also personable and knowledgeable about the terrain. He took us to amazing viewpoints, and gave us a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this for a glacier walk.

Went on a tour with Halli and had one of the best days ever! The guys in the office were super kind and helpful, and Halli was knowledgeable, funny, and one of the coolest dudes in the northern hemisphere! I highly recommend everyone goes on a tour with this company to really see Iceland!

Jacob was an excellent guide for our glacier tour. He was knowledgeable and I felt very safe with him. He taught me a lot on the tour and I was really impressed with the whole experience. I very highly recommend this company. They have the most experience and knowledge.

The guide I had on this trip was Jon. He ensured the Golden Circle was an informative, fun, and dynamic experience. He ensured we reached each stop with adequate lighting for pictures. He was also incredibly knowledgeable on a wide array of topics such as the sagas, history, politics, travel, sightseeing, and photography to name a few. I strongly recommend this company/guide.

I booked a four day trip the Greenland through this company (which was arranged in part with Blue Ice Explorer, which was also very well organized) and everything went well - I didn't have to worry about transfers getting mixed up or any changes in schedule. The only thing I would have wanted was a more detailed itinerary.

I also did the Horses and Glaciers tour with this company, and had a great time - the horseback riding part was interesting, and the glacier walk was amazing - I had Haraldur as a guide and he was fantastic!

We recently took a 5 day, 4 night tour with Icelandic Mountain Guides and were lucky to have Greta as our guide. I have taken several tours in several continents with several guides, but Greta was the best. Not only knows the country like the back of her hand, but is very capable, kind and makes it fun. We had a great time. She made the trip special for my wife and me. I would recommend any one to call and choose her as your next guide in Iceland.

Our family of five (3 teenagers) took the tour on 7/4/2016. It was a great deal of fun. Kids were engaged the entire time. Our guide was knowledgeable about the glaciers and provided us a significant amount of insight to how they were formed and what is happening to them currently due to global warming:( It is unfortunate that future generations will not be so lucky as we were to experience this kind of excitement while staying healthy on this great hike. I definitely recommend this tour and this company.

I was looking forward to the glacier hike with Icelandic Mountain Guides so much - it was going to be the highlight of my trip to Iceland, I was so excited. Unfortunately, I have never had a worst experience with a tour guide. A shock because I had read so many great reviews about them in advance. But as great as the actual experience may be, you'd be surprised how much a rude tour guide and the way they treat you can ruin an experience for you. Hear me out Our tour was at 13:00. We arrived to their booth at 12:55 and was told that our tour had already left us, that we should have arrived at 12:45. We thought it was weird that they didn't wait until 13:00 at least, especially since it was before the official start of the tour and we had booked and paid in advance, so we had confirmation. But it was a bummer at the most, the next tour was in a hour so we'd gladly wait for it. We go inside to reschedule and hear the tour guide, Hugo, talking to the couple in front of us that there was only one spot left on the 14:00 tour, but that he'd make an exception for them. They decide to not go on the tour and when I ask if we could take the spot, he says no, that "it is up to his discretion" who he will make exceptions for and that we had to wait another hour for another tour. He was extremely rude, when I was trying to find a solution or alternative tour. It was okay for the couple that turned it down but it was not okay for us standing literally right next to them. I'm sure the experience itself is exceptional, but I would urge you to ask who your tour guide is in advance of booking a trip and DO NOT BOOK WITH HUGO.
