Amazing experience, we saw the humpbacks, porpoises, puffins and other birds. Had nice hot chocolate on board. The crew is lovely and very knowledgeable.

Staff was really friendly and the whales were fantastic. We got all the time information where we can spot whales.

The guide talked English with strong accent and microphone was too quiet, so the guiding was hard to hear and understand. Time on the boat was quite long.

Whale watching and other 'Sea tours' Went whale watching on comfy boat, cold weather gear supplied, cafe on board. Shame no whales came to the party but that's the luck of the draw. As such Elding supplied 2 free replacement tickets valid for 2 years for a second go.

Went on an afternoon in the end of November. A breezy overcast day and didn't spot anything. Antiemetic was provided but some people was still throwing up and didn't have a good time. Complementary tickets were provided due to the fact that we didn't spot any wild life. Tickets valid for two years but are not transferable. Water and wind proof suits are provided.

Their souvenir shop was NOT able to provide proper receipt for VAT claim.

Great customer service. We went there and although we ended up not booking due to our limited budget. They still gave us a lot of useful information and even helped us with some questions we had about how to organize our trip. we met a few folks who where heading back from the tour and only heard positive feedback. We were hoping on booking one with them at the end of our trip since it seemed to be worth it butwe ended staying at other places longer than expected. So for their customer service I do recommend this company as well as for their honesty and their prices seemed pretry good compared to others.

The crew on the boat were lovely and very informative. They provide overalls for warmth which I would highly recommend using! We did the Whale Watching tour and the Northern Lights tour, both were very good value for money

2 stars for the really lovely staff on the boat. The guide was charming and informative. The below-deck employee did a little of everything, and was incredibly helpful when about half of the passengers got seasick. Yes, that's right. The boat presumably goes straight out on its path regardless of waves. My 3 kids were sick within about 15 minutes of departure, and I was sick in less than 1/2 hour (this made the next 2-1/3 to 3 hours of the ride excruciating). There were so many people throwing up that the below-deck girl was run ragged trying to clean up. All that for seeing a tiny glimpse of part of a whale, and just a peek of a dolphin.

I know this is a business and so they want to run their cruises no matter what. But if the sea is rough, there has to be some consideration of either going a different route, or alerting customers about the conditions.

We had a great, experienced and knowledgable guide -Babsy, who answered all our questions enthusiastically and gave us many many fascinating facts about whales. It made the watching so much more incredible. The express boat was very fast and that was a thrill itself. And we got to see many humpback beauties! Everything was professional, the staff was attentive and nice. Great opportunity to go out into the ocean and feel it's vibes!

This is in the old harbor which is just walking distance from Reykjavík city centre. There are many whale watching operators that operate out of here and this is one of the larger operators. You will go a few miles off the coast for two hours and you will see whales, dolphins, some puffins flying around. They will provide overalls at no charge of you like to stay dry and warm. The ships are fairly large with inside and outside seating and unless it's raining you won't get wet.

Total ripoff, went twice in two days because the first time there were 0 whales to be seen. Spent 3 hours just wandering around the cold windy waters costing around $100 per person. No refund, they offered tickets to watch it again. Surprise surprise, second time around no whales to be seen either. It's been 6 hours now of just being on a boat in the cold. Honestly save your money, go whale watching in Alaska instead where they're abundant.

Had a great experience going whale watching with Elding tours. Very good guide on the boat, everything felt very good and organized. And as a bonus we saw both whales and dolphins on our tour. The guide on this tour was super informative and knew a lot about the wildlife around the bay.

We booked online - easy and convenient. We were really lucky with the weather and whale sightings. We saw numerous minke whales and humpback whales 3-4 times (fluking 3 times) and lots of different species of seabirds - so we were really lucky. Our guide, Rodrigo, was funny and humorous. He presented a lot of interesting information about the whales, birds and also, about whale conservation.

If you enjoy spending time on a boat and are ok with knowing you may not see any whales, do it. It was nice to spend some time at sea and see Reykjavik from the water. We saw lots of mink whales and some dolphins. Dress warmly, though you will get to borrow some very warm overalls too. It's a pretty big boat so you won't get too close to the animals so maybe bring binoculars if you have them.

Because of flight delays, I missed my reservation. Elding was kind enough to switch my reservation for later that evening at no extra cost. It's very cold out on the open water, so take advantage of the included jumpsuits! They are a bit worn down, but you will be thankful to wear it when outside on the boat.

The guide was very informative and gave some info about the dolphins and minke whales we saw. Don't go on this tour if you expect to be up and personal with whales. If you do, you're extremely lucky, but most of the time, you are too far away because of their natural skittishness and also safety of the animals. At the end of the tour, the guide devoted a lot of time explaining the importance of conservation of whales, and why we shouldn't partake in the whale meat tastings in Reykjavik. It is not a common or popular Icelandic tradition, it is popular due to tourists.

Informative, warm and we saw minke whales!! We went on a whale watching boat trip. Firstly it was lovely to see Iceland from the boat and we began excited but 2 hours without seeing anything but ocean and sea birds, we weren't feeling hopeful. But patience and diligence saw us through and we saw porpoises (rarely seen) and 2 separate minke whales. One was only 100 metres from our boat. Truly incredible and worth the wait!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience that we will never forget. We got very close to three humpbacks and a minke whale and saw many seabirds. Our guide, Hanna, was friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and easy to understand. The company is extremely careful not to disturb or endanger these animals in any way and are strong advocates for high standards of environmental protection. I would recommend an Elding whale watching tour to anyone.
