Great location near the airport but with a small village feel. The hotel was beautifully designed with nice water views and a delicious free breakfast.staff was very helpful.

Don't bother with staying in the hotel chains nearby - this independent and local hotel is where it's at!

Decent hotel close to the airport. If you are doing a layover this is a good place to stay. Reasonably close to the Blue Lagoon as well.

absolutely lovely boutique hotel. 5 minute drive from the airport. 24 hour check in. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The room was cozy and so comfortable. Great bed and excellent pillows. Stunning views from the sitting pool on the 2nd floor. Excellent value. I would stay here again and highly recommend it!

This is a newer more modern hotel which a wonderful hot tub on the roof. Staff is friendly and breakfast is good. The ONLY reason this hotel doesn’t get 5 stars is that some remodeling is still necessary. Our bathroom did not have a lock on it and the doors are quite difficult to open. The walls are thin as other reviewers have mentioned. I would still stay here again though even with those concerns that I know will be addressed.

From the opalescent hot pool to the plush towels and comfy down bed, Berg is a perfect place to end your stay in Iceland. Basic amenities include soap, shampoo, cotton buds, lotion, hair dryer, a mini-fridge, an airport shuttle, and of course a robe for your trek to the hot tub on the second floor. Crisp smooth sheets and down covers with a dash of Icelandic weaving, made my retro room comfortable and charming. Breakfast was good (though not free) with few non-dairy alternatives. Wifi was solid, staff was great. Only drawback is figuring out how to get there (recommend a taxi), as the shuttle is only to the airport. It was perfect end to an otherwise rustic holiday in the countryside. Loved it!

Amazing place, extremely cozy furnished simple, yet very stylish. Free of charge drive to the airport at any time of the day/night. Location is great - 15 minutes walk to the bus stop, few restaurants and grocery stores, gas station within 10-20 min walk.

We booked a room in the hotel for a night, since we had an early flight and they provide a free shuttle to the airport. There is no shuttle from the airport. A taxi will cost about 3000ISK. The interior design is beautiful and the room was comfortable. We did, however, hear every. single. word. the couple in the next room said (and it wasn't a loud conversation), since most walls in this place are drywall. Even walls that are made to look like load bearing walls are drywall. Maybe providing ear plugs would have helped. When we booked the room it was not clear that breakfast was not included. The staff was very friendly and the coffee machine available for free at all times.

Reopened im Mai ‘17 after full makeover very beautifully redesigned! Like it! Service is friendly, there is a 5am shuttle for the 6am flights, breakfast starts at 3am this is service as its best! Thank you!

Clean modern rooms (although a little small) about 10 to 15 minutes from the airport. They have free airport shuttles and the usual breakfast starts at 3am (so none of those packed breakfast boxes). There's also a late for place nearby that's own until midnight.

Modern hotel with nice rooms, only a 10 minutes drive to the airport. The hotel offers early breakfast from 4am and free transport to the airport. When we were there the hot tub was not open.

Clean, modern, new hotel overlooking picturesque old harbor. Staff is warm and helpful. Excellent wifi. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Short walk to full service restaurant Duus across harbor. I would stay here again.

Very nice room, bathroom was great with a nice large shower. The hotel was still under construction when we stayed so there was a lot of construction debris around and hallways blocked off. The breakfast is included, which is nice, but not a great breakfast compared to the other hotels we stayed at. We appreciated the ride to the airport they included.

Calm Nordic vibe.
Easy to get to from the airport. Picturesque newly built hotel. Good breakfast with lovely crusty fresh baked bread. Pretty cliffside hiking trail outside the hotel, and easy walk into Reykanes for provisions.response / report this review -
