Such a lovely place to stay! Very, very clean and comfortable. I am already planning to stay here again next time around.

They messed up our reservation, putting us into a room that shared one single bathroom with several other rooms full of people. This was not disclosed ahead of time. We had pre-paid for a week, and they refused to refund the money. The amount they wanted us to pay for an upgrade was absurd. We found another hotel in the area for half the money, but still lost everything we had pre-paid. Very disappointing, and added a lot of stress to our vacation.

Good view towards the church, nice staff but really awkward breakfasts. I mean the food is great but the silence is so weird and it’s like you are disturbing someone even tho you are the only one in the room. Nice helpful staff and close to the bus station and the city centre.

This place is just in front of the famous Hallgrímskirkja. From your window you get direct view of this church. All tourist places are just walking distance from this place. The famous sweet shop "Krambúð" is also just 3 min walking distance. Lot of eateries are near by.
Rooms were clean. Shower and WC were shared between 4 families but still very clean. All utilities were available in the Kitchen. Children could also enjoy this place as this place is equipped with some toys.
Breakfast was good. Staff was good and helpful.
    Supermarket is across the street.
In short a good place to stay at Reykjavík

Very nice guesthouse located just round the corner of the cathedral (I could see it from my room, and makes a good reference point).

The whole place is very clean and my room was nicely presented. I opted for the single bedroom with shared bathroom, and that was kept very clean too and is very spacious. There are also self-service kitchens available should you not wish to pay the extortionate prices to eat out in Iceland. The reception offers free tea, coffee and toiletries.

Breakfast is served between 7 and 9.30 am and offers your standard continental breakfast; cereal, bread, cooked meats among others.

There is a car park on site. Though I never had issues parking, at busy times you may struggle, though there is plenty of free parking around the streets. WiFi is available, granted not the fastest, though I had no issue watching Netflix during my downtime.

All in all, I was very happy with my stay here and would highly recommend

Great location, but the sound-proofing in the family room was poor, could hear everything from every direction especially from the bfast room. Great service and very clean, so 3/5

Location: 5 stars - perfect, in the very centre.
Cleanliness: 5 stars - they really put much attention to it
Staff: 3 stars - just fine, not ignoring you but also not caring too much
Standard: 3 stars - basic equipement and simple design of rooms
Parking: 3 stars - it is there which is great in the city centre but it is always full, simply not big enough
WiFi: 1 star - it is supposed to be there but during my 4 days stay I was not lucky enough to see it working
Average: 3 stars - simple maths.

For Reykjavik they are decently priced, are in a great location and include a good breakfast. Also the 24/7 reception is pretty nice. The quality of the rooms and also the Wi-Fi could be a bit better.

Great experience at the Guesthouse Sunna. Good location, very walkable to downtown. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The shared bathrooms and common area for each set of rooms was very neat and clean. There was some on site parking but if you're there on the weekend, the street parking is all free.

We stayed 3 nights at Sunna Guesthouse. It is located near the big cathedral which was great for us to use as a beacon walking back to the hotel the first few days while getting oriented. Close to downtown but far enough for it to be quiet. The staff was reserved but amazing! We arrived early from our flight and they let us check in immediately so we could take a nap and head out refreshed. Breakfast is very plentiful. Fabulous buffet of hearty homemade breads, meats, cheese, boiled eggs,
cottage cheese, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juiceyou will not leave hungry! The room was not tight like some european hotels and felt very modern and clean. We had a shared kitchenette outside our room where we could keep our wine and cheese in the fridge. There is a 24 hour supermarket right around the corner. The bus stop for all excursion pick ups and airport transport is right across the street at the famed Cathedral. You are a 6 minute walk to the downtown restaurants, main shopping street and attractions. And it was very quiet at night. Sleeping was fantastic. Very comfortable beds. The only thing was the room ran a bit hot even with the window open. So at night we had to open our balcony door for an hour just to cool it down.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 2-night stay in Sunna. The staff were lovely and the room was clean. There were kitchens, toilets and showers on every floor so you didn't need to climb the stairs so much if you stayed on the upper floors. The place was impeccably clean and the breakfast area looked like that of a posh hotel. Also, printing service was also provided if a guest so happens to need to print any documents!

I stayed at the Sunna Guesthouse in 2010 and it was really nice. Great food, clean rooms and very pleasant staff. I would go back there anytime! Their buffet breakfast is just SO good :)
