  We found this place by chance since the large town, Akureyri, was either too expensive or fully booked. What we did not know was that it was under new management and we were literally their very first customers. They bought the previous guesthouse in November and built a beautiful extension with full kitchen and large glass windows with eating area and handicap accessible facilities. Grenivik is one of the more beautiful places on Iceland and we lucked into finding this place. We had a fridge and TV with Netflix and cable in our room as well as our own bathroom with shower. Breakfast was included and we were free to use the kitchen to cook ourselves dinner at night (buy your own groceries of course). The owner and his family were so so nice and very accommodating. You could tell they really wanted to get this right. He was still working on the outside of the new addition but took time out of his day to take us to see his horses up the road, one of which was 3 days old. One of the best parts was the hot tub we had private access to with views directly to the fjord where you can see whales if you're lucky. Otherwise it's still spectacular views of the water and mountains. Highly highly recommended. You can't beat this for any price. Honestly would've paid double for this, it was like out of a brochure.
