Great experience with beautiful views. The thermal pools are amazing and so pleasant in the winter. Loved the room.
The staff is very pleasant but relies on guests to call upon arrival during non busy season. Not easy for an international visitor.
A very sweet and cozy place to stay very close to the Glacier.
Staff was super friendly.
Rooms were clean and you can see the Glacier directly from the window.
Breakfast was good. If someone loves to be in nature it's a perfect place.
Only one small tip that sometimes Google maps show a different route towards this place, however you are not driven far away from the place.
I would love to visit here again especially during winters to gaze northern lights.
Nice small hotel with friendly staff. Unfortunately we had only one night there. The hotel has good parking opportunities, a small museum and very good self made breakfast. From the dining room you have a good view of the glacier.
Great place to stay, try the food it is really great, local and fresh. Personal is wonderful.
Loved staying here. View of a glacier? Yes! And the hot pot/ hot tubs was such a wonderful addition to our time spent on the east side of Iceland. We recommend this B&B to all of our friends who are planning a trip. We'll hopefully be back in the future.
This place is one with some of the most incredible views from your hotel you'll ever see. From our bedroom window, or the gorgeous restaurant, you could see the expanse of an empty valley with mountains on the sides, trails through it, and a glacier in it's depth. There're also some refreshing hot springs to bath in. Aside from the hot springs, the aestetic is wonderfully modern. The views are incredible - I spent a lot of time outside just soaking it in, reading too.
The location was a little difficult t to find, as google kept wanting to route us through someone's private property. Once we got there, we had no complaints. The hot springs were free to use for guests and had excellent views of the glacier.
Excellent location with a new breakfast/dinner room overlooking the glacier, probably the best view one will get in the Hoffell valley. Rooms are very nice with own bathrooms (uncommon for guest houses) and floor heating. The stay at the hotel also gives you free dips at the local hot pools. Friendly staff (well, the single person acting as receptionist, restaurant server, etc).
Excellent outdoor hot spring
Great location and breakfast was very good. The hot springs were a bit disappointing but very good place to stay, clean and comfortable.
Guesthouse in the second house is bad.too noisy, no warm water after 8h30.
Breakfast is too simple Just the view is Nice.
Lovely location with views of glacier, well fitted out rooms, good service and free use of outdoor hot tubs. Reasonable food.
This place was fantastic to stay at. We arrived in the afternoon on 4/1/2016 after finding out that the entire ice caving season ended that very day but saw the glacier from the road. We were greated by Happy the dog, the owner and booked room #4. The hot tubs were included in our stay and were perfect for watching the aurora after our epic hike to the glacier. The drive to the glacier was 15mins and we did an hour hike along the right side of it and it was mostly safe. The hot tubs are open to locals and on a Saturday night it is a late night hang spot for Höfn teenagers. We had a blast and it was just ours after they left around 10pm. We brought a box of wine and a speaker and watched the Aurora come alive until the early hours. Breakfast was great and I can't wait to come back and recommend everyone to stay here!
