  visited in spring, lots of snow and steep. Very nice place and the gorge was really nice.

  This place is cool! Go inside and start hiking up the ravine a bit. I'd bring waterproof clothes tho!

  Amazing canyon. Access only by walking through a little river. (there are stones you can tramp on to get into the cave safe and dry) It's absolutely beautiful.

  Really beautiful spot. A little hike up and one can go in to the ravine, it's a neat experience with good photo opportunity.

  Free to visit. Easily accessible from the parking lot. There may be a lot of tourists, but worth to stop. No toilets.

  There is a 10 min hike up to the canyon. I is good to have a good walking shoes on if you want to go deep into that canyon.

  Spectacular entrance, but a bit tough to go deeper in. If your willing to get your feet wet, it's much easier!

  Breathtaking scenery. No toilets. You cannot hike up the ravine unless you have waterproof boots and pants - There is a stream flowing through it, you can walk up on the rocks but at some point there is a boulder with water flowing over it that you need to climb over.

  Very nice place. Only ravine of its kind I experienced while in Iceland. Definitely worth stopping by.

  By far our favorite adventure in Iceland, wish we could go back. Hopping along rocks and partially climbing the walls while heading up stream, until we hit a small waterfall. There is a rope and it's possible to get up past it and continue on, but we had a camera that we couldn't get wet so we turned around.

  Well worth the mini-trek up. About .5 mile moderate incline along a rocky/gravel path to the entrance. Then walking over some rocks in the stream to enter the ravine. Pretty cool view of the sky from above and the birds flying around!

  Truly amazing! Looks like pretty much nothing from the road, but the ravine is gorgeous on the inside. Just.. watch out for birds.

  Fascinating area. You can climb up and into the unknown! It appears that the seabirds use this hidden alcove to nest in great numbers.
  I did not have appropriate footwear, so I did not enter the ravine proper, but I am sure it is even more exciting inside.
  Make sure to take a moment to enjoy the view of surrounding mountains and ocean on your way back down too!
