A mastercraft in beautiful fish and seafood dishes. Service was exceptional and well worth the price. You are treated attentively and well by the waiters and I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of the cuisine here.

Do yourself a favour and enjoy some of the best seafood cuisine Iceland has to offer.

Ate dinner at the Fish Company last Friday and it was absolutely wonderful! I had the salted cod, my boyfriend had the chef's choice. We were proud to call ourselves clean platers! The restaurant has a really nice vibe. We enjoyed the the little touches that Fish Company added into the meal: bread with butter (& granola!), a tiny appetizer sample, glasses had a beautiful logo on them. If we ever return to Reykjavik I know we will return to eat here! Thank you for a delicious meal!

This restaurant is superb and was the best restaurant we visited in Reykjavik. The waiter made us feel extremely welcome, and had a brilliant manner, and made some terrific suggestions whilst explaining the menu well.

I would particularly recommend 3 fish cooked 3 ways which was without doubt the best fish I have eaten.

This restaurant manages to do extremely good food with some great flavour combinations without serving stupidly small portions.

The best dinner I've had in a long time.

The fish of the day was astounding and, if you've never had a smoked apple sauce, I suggest only eating apples that have been properly smoked.

The interior was trendy and a lot larger than it looked like from the outside.

    Highly recommend.

Truly a dining experience! From the attentive and knowledgable servers to the ambiance to the divinely delectable courses just amazing. I made reservations for my first night in Reykjavik, and this restaurant set the bar extraordinarily high for the rest of my visit. It's pricey, but worth the experience. I look forward to going back!

If you want your mind and tastebuds to be blown away come to the Fish company. We ordered an Around the World meal(probably o my available in winter) and were left absolutely flabbergasted! 6 courses of what seemed to be a never-ending train of fantastic flavours and impressive dishes made our minds tingle. Never tasted anything similar anywhere else in the world, bravo!

Good service, fairly extensive menu and wine list. It's a bit too dark for my likingCould do with a bit more lighting. Prices are ++

Amazing food and for what is a high dining experience (tweezers used to prepare food) the portions are large! Best cooked fish I’ve ever had (the lightly salted cod). Just a great experience overall. Sat at the downstairs bar for dinner and a show.

Excellent food, staff and ambience! Fish soup was incredible as were both fish mains. Staff kindly added a candle to delicious desert, as well as a little gift for my boyfriends 30th birthday! Would highly recommend for everything! Yummy!

It could have been excellent but the service spoilt it! I did arrive late (around 40 minutes before closing), but they said it was fine.
I have been to many higher end restaurants around the world (with Paris restaurants being some of my favourites - they aren't so rushed there), and this doesn't come close.
At the Fish Company the food and presentation was very good, but the service was far from it!!
I felt rushed right from beginning. they whisked away the 'complementary' intro, which was rather rude of them.
The wine glasses provided were not clean. When the bill came it had additional items I did not order (To the tune of an additional 25000 króna).
The server was rude at first, but quickly came back with the correct bill. Very disappointed with this place.

Host is not the most welcoming and staff was generally rude and serving staff could be a bit more professional (no need to get upset when a question is asked), bread plates and knifes not provided to our table but to others. If you are going to charge me 200 cad per person for dinner, I expect you to do it with a smile.
Despite booking 2 months ahead of time, we were sat in the bar section (which looked liked a tourist internment camp / or parking lot if you prefer) definitly not the best area / vibe of the restaurant.
The food was good the slow cooked fish and cauliflower starter was excellent but lacked a bit of precision in the execution. Main dish was a generous portion but ok in taste. Dessert menu was rather uninteresting! And really giant spoons for espresso cups!!!????

Fish Company has long been my top choice for a special night out in Reykjavik and the place that I'm most likely to recommend to visiting friends and family with the budget to splurge just a little bit. Their dishes are creative and thoughtful, consistently delicious with touches here and there that make your eyebrows perk up with pleasant surprise.

On top of that, the atmosphere is romantic and cosy. Perfect for a special occasion or a long overdue date night.

Great food and the 'Taste of Iceland' menu wasn't too expensive (for Iceland).
    Highly recommended

I love this restaurant. Very good service. In the city centre of Reykjavik.
Ecletic ambiance and very tasty food. Very good food presentation. Their pork menu oh so yummy..
The waiters have knowledge about the food they present to you. Very recommended.

This is what you would call a fancy restaurant. I spent around 16,200 ISK by myself for dinner. But, the food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere and staff were spot on. I wouldn't try walk up unless it's like 11PM, otherwise plan on making a reservation.

Was recommended this as a place that had amazing seafood and was not disappointed. Started with the sushi and then had their house special which was a taste sensation. Very prompt and attentive service, nice cosy atmosphere. Great wine selection as well. A bit pricey but worth it if you want a nice night out and some fantastic local seafood.

When we left, we were both giddy drunk (no, we didn't have a drop of liquor) from how delicious everything was.

The langoustine soup was not quite the Icelandic standard (read: loads of cream); more of a bouillabaisse with insanely intense flavour. We really had to control ourselves from ordering seconds.

Our mains were a lamb and a fish dish (apologies for not remembering in detail). The sauces accompanying the lamb was impeccably paired and it was exactly medium rare. However, the star really was the fish. It was melt-in-your-mouth-good, with perfect seasoning and sauces.

Dessert was unsurprisingly a lovely light skyr cream with rhubarb meringue bits. Surprisingly good was the hazelnut ice-cream paired with it, the aftertaste of salted caramel cloyingly makes you crave more.

Even the butter for their bread basket was fantastic. Service was detailed and pleasant.

Every ingredient was purposeful (it wasn't just adding coconut for the sake of tickling your mind to order it) and it really made a lasting impression. A pricey experience but well-worth it.

March 2017, my husband and I made a same day reservation and had dinner here. We ate fresh seafood appetizers and mains. I had the white house wine which was great tasting. The food including deserts was delicious, service was great (I think we had 3 servers in total looking after us) Overall great food, great ambiance, great service. However, if you're on a budget do not eat here and don't travel to Iceland as everything is expensive.

The food deserves no lower than a 4. We tasted the sushi, cod and potatoes and thought they all tastes fantastic. Service lacked, and it started with our seating: Reservation for two at 8:30pm on a Sunday. The place was almost dead until we turned a corner with the host to four two-person tables that were all American. Maybe it's us, but we felt segregated. Whether it was logistics or some other reason it felt awkward when the only locals Sat on the other side of the restaurant by themselves. On top of it, the WORST American 00's music like Travis, Backstreet boys, etc were being played which (I know Icelander's like better music) made me want to jab my ears with a fork.
Waiters were all courteous which is why we want to maintain subjective, it's just hard when all these "things" point us to feeling very singled out on our experience. Again, maybe it's us but unfortunately the experience was ruined from the start.

Amazing food and you can have two glasses of wine for the price of 1500 which is pretty good (for them it's a glass of wine but the quantity they give you is the equivalent of two glasses of wine). I took the white fish (Denmark meal) and my partner took the Chinese meal miso. It was delicious !! Very great atmosphere and good service also !!! They also have homemade butter for the bread it's incredible. Would go there anytime again. Really worth your money!
