Quirky and generally a bit different, focus on sustainability eg bamboo toothbrushes in room. Some nice touches.

Great atmosphere, especially in the downstairs sections where you can relax and grab a coffee. Room was clean and serene, and the 4 poster bed was very comfortable. Parking was ample, but it was a lower season so cannot comment for the high seasons.

- Lovely room (a little bit small and not always a great view though But you don't come to Iceland to stay in your room ;-) )

This place was lovely. My room was very cozy, clean, comfortable and I loved the decor and atmosphere. The employees were friendly and helpful. Their eco friendly philosophy and the shampoo and conditioner was a nice touch. I enjoyed the breakfast bar they offered, although it's a bit expensive (but from my experience, things were generally more expensive in Iceland anyway). They offer a variety of things like eggs, bread, cheese, meats, jams, oatmeal, and yogurts. This hotel was located within a 5-ish minute walking distance of the main shopping area. Kind of out of the way, but it was in a nice quiet area.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were cozy and the toiletries in the bathrooms were some of the best I've ever had. The morning breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Additionally the staff was very friendly.

Hipster heaven! Really nice and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Most of the restaurant's are at the other side of town about a 15 min walk. On the flipside we were first drop off on the coaches!

Really beautifully decorated, simple but very stylish Icelandic design. Staff is very nice. Breakfast buffet is quite good. Location is slightly out of the way, but parking is super easy.

This rating is specifically for Andreas at reception. Though we did not stay here, we came in around 2:30am desperate for a place to stay for the night after issues with our Airbnb. Although, all rooms were booked, Andreas went above and beyond calling other hotels and hostels in the area asking if there was availability for us! I am incredibly thankful for his help and his kindness!

Loved my stay at Eyja Guldsmeden. The room and reception area were both beautifully decorated and very inviting, and the room had excellent blackout curtains that kept out the midnight sun. The staff were friendly and helpful, happy to look up bus routes and times or check that airport transfers were booked. The eco-friendly ethos is subtle enough not to impact on the quality of your stay but is well thought through and clearly indicated everything they do. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful, clean, friendly, with a wonderful staff. We stayed here all week and had the most wonderful time. My biggest regret? Not staying another night and ending up at the dumpy, dirty, disgusting Hotel Keiler in Keflavik and not being able to breathe. Next time, we're staying here the entire time and avoiding that disastrous dump.
