Nice beach, easily accessible from the road. Few walk around. Not the cutest I had to see in Iceland, but still worth the stop ! The view with the volcano in the background, the black sand Always work !

Really lovely area! The shipwreck remains are kind of surreal to walk through - picking your way around copper pieces of metal that stand out against the black sand. The ocean view is fantastic, and there are some quiet pools of water farther behind the beach.

Wow! This place feels unearthly. A scenic black rocky beach that comes straight from a sci-fi movie on another planet. The waves aggressively crash onto the rock formations so be a bit careful.
