Kathleen was the most amazing bartender I've ever had. My wife and I were honeymooning and she made our first night exceptional. She had an amazing personality and made our time there enjoyable. She made great recommendations for dinners and excursions and was so much fun to chat with the whole time. We found ourselves staying for another round every time to talk to her and we will be going back to see her! Come here and enjoy a real Icelandic experience!

This bar makes it almost impossible to spend an enjoyable evening in Reykjavík Town. Drunk idiots in the street and bass making hotel rooms hundreds of meters up the street vibrate until 3am. Be very careful to avoid staying near this place.

Wandered in here on my last night in Reykjavik. Thought it would be a little more lively and friendly based on other reviews. Not so much Very weird vibe. A bunch of 40 - 60yr olds sitting around discussing the odd mash up of folk music and death metal playing in the bar. Also a pint of cheap beer will set you back 1.190kr = $12.

Awesome live music and the friendliest of staff. Be sure to ask for Chelsea at the bar.

Small but cozy place to enjoy a cup of beer. Its closing time is 1am, so you can enjoy at midnight too. But unfortunately, its price is little bit expensive, because here is Iceland.

We got into Dillon's at about 2am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. There was an eclectic mix of music being played by the elderly (ish) DJ which was fun to dance to whilst we drank expensive whisky (not expensive compared to the rest of Reykjavik, but still pricey!). It was a fun place to round the night off in.

Good little bar. Great selection of whiskey for Reykjavik. Nice cozy off venue location for Iceland Airwaves music fest.

Terrible service. Wanted a quick bite and one round and bartender only said, "what you see is what you get." As soon as we ordered drinks she cashed us out. We sat and drank them while we watched people around us eat. She ignored us the entire time and was complaining about her coworkers the entire time to another bar guest.

Okay bar, it's pretty loud inside so don't come here expecting a quiet drink, you have to yell to be heard. Music selection was good and the tables/atmosphere are good. Bartender was a pretentious jerk and wouldn't give us a whiskey recommendation, congrats buddy you know more about whiskey than me. Aside from his behavior it was a decent spot.

Excellent happy hour prices on beer. They have outdoor seating which is great when it's not raining. They feature local bands that play live up in the attic. All around great place.

Blues vibe, decent drinking hole in central Reykjavik. Happy hour, as elsewhere, is crowded.

The Dillon is a great experience with a nice atmosphere and great music. We had some really good Icelandic whiskey and some red wine. The view out the window as seen on the photo is lovely and the music was absolutely fantastic. I think about four Rammstein songs came on on our two hours visit which was great for us Germans ;) but any other song playing in between was great as well! Would definitely recommend.

A mixed atmosphere of grungy locals and obvious tourists (sorry!) :D Both beer and whiskey options on happy hour. Take the back garden on sunny days. They often have live music.

Bar tender wasn't quick to help us even though we were the only ones in there. We ordered two drinks but he misheard us and gave us one. After finally receiving both drinks, my husband accidentally spilled his. It was right in front of the bar tender but he didn't seem to notice. I informed him, hoping he would re-pour, or at least give us something to clean up, but he either ignored me or didn't hear me. Confused and annoyed, we asked for the bill. The bar tender set down the credit card machine in the whiskey spill, still not seeming to notice.. total waste of $30
