The central location is nice. If you have a rental car, be warned, there is only street parking and you have to feed a meter all day long. Wish we had known this going in.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, it's really near bars and restaurants and tour buses can pick you up from bus stop 3 which is just around the corner. The spa is small but has everything you need and the staff couldn't be more helpful.

Nice restaurant in the hotel. Superb greek yogurt in the breakfast buffet. Good to hangout at night for drinks nearby.

They don't have a concierge service, for the price they should. Knowing where to meet busses for excursion is not always clear and the pick up time is not always what is printed on your confirmation. The location is great, it's clean, the room was a bit small

Wonderful hotel in a great location, the rooms were nice and were never cold regardless of the outside temp!

The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast selection was as varied as I have found in any hotel in the world!
would love to stay here again!

Worst stay of our trip. This is meant to be a high end hotel. With it small tiny rooms and the added insult of the owners private party, it felt more like a college dorm.

The owners party with live music started at 10:45pm and went well into the night. The front desk couldn't give a damn.

Horrible rooms, inconsiderate owner and an unhelpful front desk, earns this place one star.

If anyone from the hotel would like to comment on this, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Probably one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. It's located downtown so it's within walking distance of everything. I loved how our bathroom had heated floors and heated towel racks. The service here was great as well. Only con is if you have a car you will have a tough time finding parking and may have to park a few blocks away. If you don't have a car and are doing the tours via pick-up then you should have any problems.

Probably the best hotel in downtown Reykjavik. It is historical in a way and it has more of a class to it than many other hotels. Some rooms are old and some are new but having stayed in both their 100s (newer ones) and their 300s (older ones) I can assure you that both are great and you won't miss anything going with one or the other. If anything I think I actually prefer the older rooms at the end of the day as they are very well kept, have higher ceilings, and are just nicer in my opinion overall. Good breakfast options as well.
