I have heard or read of less than satisfactory rental car experiences in Iceland and was apprehensive when renting a car. From the pick up process (very easy from the airport) to operating it and returning it. The whole process was easy and the gentleman who checked us in was very professional and accomodating and happened to be the same person when we returned it. Highly recommend Cars Iceland and will use them on returning trips.

Just got back from a 10 day trip from Iceland and had a great experience from this rental car company! They partner with Blue Car Rental and so we had to go to them to pick up our car, but we thought that this was the best price for what we got. We rented a Suzuki Vitara and it was big enough for us to fold the seats down and sleep in the back when we camped. Definitely take pictures of the car when you pick it up - the rental car company will give you a paper copy that has a schematic of the car with all of the prior damages, which is what they will compare it to when you drop it off. We found that were were a few scratches that weren't marked so when we dropped the car off I showed the agent the pictures and we weren't charged for them. The car we rented was a newer model and we enjoyed driving it. Overall we had a great experience with this company and would use them again!

Of the agencies I've used in Iceland, Cars Iceland is the best company to rent through. Always quick to respond to emails—no matter what time of day. I found them to be very reasonable and not pushy. They're also the best deal and value. I'd rent through Cars Iceland again.

We rented through them during our trip in March this year. Your car rental is through Blue Car Rental. I had read a lot of reviewes and had a lot of anxiety over renting. Wow didn't have to worry. The guy who checked us i was terrific and when we checked the car we said we wanted to take pictures, they pointed thubth out and said to save the pictures. We had a 4x4 but didn't go crazy and traveled in two gravel roads and took extra care. Our last day there had 50 mph winds and thank god tht hubby held on to the door, at the sacrifice of his arm, because the door would have went flying. We returned the car with no problems and no extra charges. The girl checked us in and we were on our way. Highly recommend Cars Iceland and Blue Car Rentals. Thank you for easing my nerves.

This was the first time for me to hire a car and I looked up lots of company before decided to go for Cars Iceland.I chose a Dacia Duster that eventually was upgraded for Toyota Rav4 free of charge upon picking up my car.I was very happy with their service and they were very helpful and straightforward.

Recently rented a car with theses guys. Found them to be very useful and very helpful. After reading loads of trip advisers and different reviews on which companies seem to scam you for little scratches as the roads out there are very very rocky and scratches are inevitable. I came across a lot of reviews where people explain their disasters as they had been charged a considerable amount of money for tiny little scratches. I found a good review for these guys so decided to go with them. as a precaution I took out all of the insurances (extra £40 or £50) which I would recommend as the road did kick up a lot of little stones. The staff at Cars Iceland were very useful. I had to change the pick up which i was worried due to the amount of time being adjusted I may be charged again, they were quick to respond and no extra charge. On pick up it was raining relativity hard, the guy stood there and ran through everything and was not rushing to get away. drop off, different member of staff who was very polite.

cariceland is a car rental agency, not an actually car rental company.

Rented a Dacia Duster diesel and was put with Blue Car Rental. $600 USD all in for six days. Well manner staff, noted down all the minor damage the vehicle has. Came with studded winter tires which is standard for all rental in Iceland in the winter. Simple return, no extra charges. Averaged 7L/100km over 1,300km. Simple basic car that has everything you need and don't have any non necessary options. Faulty fuel meter means it never topped but they accepted the vehicle back as is. Don't rent this car if you have back problem as seats are not supportive at all and rear suspension floats like a boat.

Three minutes walk from the airport or you can take the shuttle which is the 2nd stop but it comes every 15-20 minutes.

Had a fantastic experience with Cars Iceland! I have never hired a car before, and certainly never abroad, but the process with straightforward. When we arrived we opted to be collected from our hotel. Our driver was very nice and pointed out local landmarks on the way and told us the best places to shop for cheaper food.

During our stay we decided to hire for an extra day and it was a simple case of calling up and paying the extra when we dropped the car back. My Mum also left her phone in their office accidentally and they made the effort to call and text a number of her contacts to get the phone back to her, which we are very grateful for!

Next time I come to Iceland I will definitely use this company again!

Pickup was very easy and staff was very courteous and reviewed all important information with us. I had some questions before we arrived and emailed the staff. I received a very quick response and it was very personal versus a "canned response". Our car was exactly as described when we picked up. Get the WiFi option. We used it a ton!!! We travel and rent cars whenever we travel internationally and this was the fastest and most courteous service we have ever had. Highly recommend Cars Iceland!!

This was by far the best rental company we could've chosen for our trip! It's a family operated business that really makes you feel looked after on your trip. If you have any questions they respond to your emails/phone calls immediately! My friend and I took a road trip through Iceland and these guys really thought of everything we might need in our car. They really go above and beyond, I would chose them every time. Both guys were upfront, honest, and helpful with everything!

Very pleasant experience! Car couldn't have been more than 1 years, less than 3000 km.
Booked a Toyota Yaris but got upgraded to Volkswagen Golf. Had it for 10 days around Iceland with no problems.
Car was from blue car rental.
Most recommended rental because of the included insurances! Which means, they're not in extreme picky for every mark. Unless you run over a sheep or blow away the door.

My wife and I rented an SUV to drive around Iceland. Our experience with this company was flawless. Check-in was simple and the staff were friendly and helpful. The car was perfect and didn't have any issues. Upon our return we were treated well. The rental overall was convenient and a good value. 2 thumbs up!

Superb service. Prompt response and procedures while hiring the car and especially while returning the car at the airport. No surprise deductions or charges on the card. New and clean car provided as per online booking for 5 days with full insurance. TRULY RECOMMENDED Thanks for making it a trip worth remembering.

We rented a Suzuki Vitaro 4 x4 for a 3 day trip in Iceland. The Cars Iceland/Blue Car Rental pick up is a 2 minute walk from the airport. The pick up and drop off were both smooth with no extra charges and really friendly staff. I left a couple of souvenirs in the car and on my return home I received an email from them to say they had found them in the car and would post them out to me the same day. Fantastic service, best price in Iceland and they made our trip even better! Will definitely be using you again on our next visit.
