This place was absolutely phenomenal. After a long day at the golden circle, we popped in here right before it closed. They had a few non-meat/vegetarian options. I ordered their mushroom and blue cheese bruschetta, and it was simply to die for. It was served on a single large slice of toasted homemade sour dough bread and was enough to be considered a full meal! I would also highly recommend their hot chocolate. It is rich and delicious.

A bastion of delight in the tiny town! Walking across the street to dinner here we weren't sure what to expect especially as we were one of the only costumers at the time. However the pizza we ordered was delecious and satisfying. However the true stand out was the dessert both the chocolate cake and the hot chocolate which was out of this world! Sweet but not to much backed by dark chocolaty goodness. Top this off with great service and a selection of local beers and you can't go wrong!

Great menu and service is fantastic. Would recommend. Especially make sure you have space for dessert! (Coming from a non dessert person) :)

Really enjoyed the food very fresh. Chicken and mushroom risotto was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. My wife enjoyed the meat pizza.

Many of the ingredients in their dishes are sourced from local farms and the food is delicious. Also, this is a great spot to stop if you're hungry between typical lunch and dinner times. I ate at 16:30 and a couple other places on my list to try were closed then. This place is a bit pricey, but the cosiness, friendliness of the staff and chocolate selection made it worth it. It was also recommended to me by two locals. There's not too many "healthy" options, but it is winter time so hearty worked for me.

What a find! The house chicken wings were so inspired that we ordered a second portion. Inventive uses for homemade chocolate seem to be the restaurant's speciality - the wings are in a chili-white chocolate marinade, for example. The interesting, extensive and very reasonably priced pizza selection made Mika the only restaurant we saw on the tourist trail where you can have a very high quality, filling dinner with a beer for around €25 per person (if two share a large pizza). Service was attentive and quick. For the fair prices and unique menu, this was a very memorable, enjoyable experience. I would seek out Mika next time I am in Iceland.

Fantastic experience! After bad pizza in Reykjavik and awful snacks at the local attractions, this is an oasis. We shared the seafood pasta and a lobster pizza and they were delicious. The coffee was good and the chocolate was very nice. Loved our meal.

Their hot chocolate is to die for! Also highly recommend the seafood pasta. On their little pamphlet it says "our meals not only look beautiful but also taste perfect."-- that is not a marketing hype, it's a true statement. The price is a bit hefty, but let's not forget we are in Iceland, plus, from the perspective of a New Yorker, I've been to many fancy restaurants in NYC that serve the food far more expensive but not nearly as good.

Food was very good, not much atmosphere and prices in the normal high range for Iceland.

Great food and very nice staff! I had some wings and shrimps, followed by the seafood soup, and both were excellent. The prices are a bit scary, but that seems to be a common thing in Iceland.

The food was excellent. I had the seafood pasta, which came with lots of expertly prepared seafood in an extremely savory sauce. Must try if you are going near the Secret Lagoon.

I go often to Mika and I highly recommend this place. Great lobster, pizza and service, even though the place is always busy it's always easy to get a table. The chocolate they make is perfect.

Really bad pizza, literally what you could buy at the supermarket frozen that you cook in your own oven. In fact the "extra cheese extra pepperoni" we had tasted exactly like the $5 Red Baron pizza I burnt at home last weekincluding the burnt part - it looked like they had put it under a broiler and the cheese was charred! Oh, and it was $18. We also ordered a large "margherita" pizza which was strangely just a cheese pizza but a relative "bargain" at $32! PASS.

As many other people mentioned before the hot chocolate is a must try. Made from actual melted chocolate. Excellent selection for quality food and friendly service. Great portions and price.

Second visit since 2015, but the service this time was slow. Pizza nothing special, and salad boring. Pity as I loved it the first visit.

If you are traveling to or from Gulfoss falls or just passing though, do not overlook this unassuming eatery. It is outstanding with great service!

Langoustine (lobster) pizza Unreal. I've had some good pizza in my time, but that dish is unbelievably good.

Oh, and the hot chocolate If you don't get one there you'll sorely regret it. And you won't look at hot chocolate the same again. Enjoy!
