The place is lovely and staff are friendly. I ordered egg benedict and it was actually quite good. I like the filtered coffee and apple juice! A great place for brunch, you don’t really feel like you dine in Iceland especially when the table next to you were talking French out loud. Overall, recommend.

After a long wait we were ignored and not seated (there is no board where you are pointed out to be seated, and there were several employees at the entrance and had nothing to do). We then decided simply to rarely ourselves (about a third of the restaurant was occupied). After about five minutes the little waitress with glasses came and said that for guests who seated themselves there was only water and bread, that should come over funny, we then went without something to order again. That's no way to treat guests!

Great place for a beer outside.
Had a beer outside in the backyard and a fish dish for dinner. Very nice atmosphere with the sun coming down in the afternoon. My fish filet with strawberries wasn't my kind of taste. But service and atmosphere was good.

This is a very classy place! The restaurant was very crowded when I was there to eat breakfast, but the dining area was very clean and the service was very good. The menu is has a very nice variety of foods. Like many of the restaurants in Iceland, the prices are expensive, but the food is very good and the prices are competitive as compared to other restaurants in Reykjavik.

I had Icelandic pancakes and coffee. I visited in March of 2018. I was very satisfied with my visit.

There was a small free table by the corner which has a lovely view, my friend and I wanted to sit there but the waitress said it was reserved. 5 minutes later, there were 2 Western women randomly requested to move from another table to that corner, the other staff said it was no problem. It means that table was not reserved as we were also confirmed by the other staff. I just found it unfair don't know if it's because my friend and I look Asian. Maybe it's not a big deal to you but everyone comes to use and pay for the service fairly, so we also expect to be treated fairly. There shouldnt be a racist like this.

Arrived here quite late on a Saturday evening, but they squeezed us in. I'm not sure the food could be described as authentically French, but the chicken and waffles and corned pulled pork hash were both delicious. The atmosphere is great and the carafes of house wine are reasonable by Icelandic standards. Definitely recommended!

Very good coffee and cake. Good menu as well for other food but did not eat. Although ladies next to us were amazed by the eggs!!

Service is terrible, we waited 20 min for the menus and it wasn't busy. We got dessert only and coffee - both below average. Expensive for what you get

It is okay. Not great. Not bad. Just okay. There are a lot of good places in the area, so if you compare it to the surrounding cafes, it would be down to three stars. But I have to say it is good enough for four.

It's okay but overpriced for quality and atmosphere and the staff is still quite hit and miss, many seem very new.

It's really not that bad in any other place but central rvk already has many expensive nice places with good aesthetic and decorations and good food. It's not enough to just be good enough for the sort of price needed to run a restaurant like this in central rvk. It has none of the soul of the old café París and nothing special to offer that other places literally minutes away don't do better and or cheaper.

I'm sure they will improve over time as it is still quite fresh but until I see a reason to go there again I'm holding it at 3.

It's a good place but compared to what else is on offer in the area this place just isn't as good.

The food is pretty good but for the price you may not think so. You won't hate the food nor will you be disappointed but if you have eaten elsewhere in Reykjavik you will know there are better options.

The staff are friendly asnd the decor is very upscale.

Delicious, impeccably made classic French food, as well as brunch and lunch classics. It quickly became my favourite place in Reykjavik. If life was an eternal afternoon at Cafe Paris, where time seems to float along on a slow jazz tune, I would be entirely content.

The place is great. Ambient is chic, vintage and quiet. We went there to have a coffee and a waffle. The coffee was just fine, nothing special. The waffle is what it disappointed me the most. It was overpriced and, in my opinion, tasteless. Really really simple waffle. The whipped cream was good, but it was just whipped cream. Again, nothing special. We knew that it's an expensive place, but I was at least expecting a food quality above the average. I would maybe repeat someday to have lunch or dinner.

A nice chic and welcoming place. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a good time and meal in the middle of a cold day and it felt good stopping by. we were looking for a cosy place and we ended there. My travel companion and I who both went travelled to Paris liked the place . The food was realllly good ! Hope you're gonna enjoy your time as much as we did.

Food was delicious. Icelandic pancakes are a must - especially for the kids. The Smoked Salmon omelette was delicious. Service was excellent.

we waited for ten minutes until a waiter wandered over to our table. then he disappeared. i asked another waitress where he was, 'on his 5-minute break'. in total he spoke ten words to us and not once did he ask us if we wanted more drinks or how our food was. AWFUL. SERVICE.

Food is not that good and super pricey. If it's on a sunny day, the terrace is a good call. Staff is super nice.

Epic fail. Waited 45min for our benedict, it never showed. We had to leave to go the airport. Chef was screaming and tossing food and breaking plates. The people around us were missing items (no beans with the full English). Front of house was nice and apologetic. Buildings construction wasn't finished, they need some serious work all around

A nice place, albeit a bit expensive. Staff is usually friendly, but sometimes overwhelmed, so you're sitting at a not-cleaned table for quite a while and ordering takes time. Food is the usualy slew of Iceland-Burger etc. etc. - Take a seat near one of the windows, at least you can watch people go by.

Quite expensive, but food and service were, in my opinion, both excellent! A shame the menu didn't have a French translation, and no complimentary bread; that would have sealed the deal on Frenchness.
