Just a really cool place to visit whether you are washing clothes or getting food. I had the dirty breakfast and it was really nice, well cooked and tasty. It's a quirky place and worth nipping in even if it's just for a coffee.

Brunch here. Wasn't memorable, but decent enough. Somewhat reasonable prices. One of those places you'd go to quite a bit if it was in your neighborhood.

(Though, it's no longer called the Laundromat Cafe. It's now called Egill Jacobsen) Excellent and friendly service. I love the vibe of this place. In all honesty, I liked the vibe better when it was the Laundromat Cafe, but it's the same owner, same great service, same great food.. Just a different feel. They're open really early which helps travelers get their breakfast and morning coffee before heading out on your journey.

Do stop by! You won't regret it.

Visited this cute cafe which was recommended by our Airbnb host. The food is cooked American-diner style so don’t expect too much of an “Iceland-touch.” Our eggs and sides were tasty and flavourful, however our mango-pineapple smoothie was quite gross and watery even though it was a $12 CAD priced item. We loved the concept of a landromat conveniently downstairs with a play area for kids and toddlers to keep entertained while you run your errands. Lastly, the staff seemed a little distracted and overwhelmed with the rush of customers coming in and occupied with turning tables. They were super nice but had to be waived down if we were wanted their attention.

Such a cute little restaurant! Great vibe and ambience. This little place has a laundromat downstairs, so you can do your laundry while you eat a tasty meal! Laundromats are hard to find in this little town so this place is walking distance from
Most Reykjavík hotels and air bnbs!

Newly Opened/Refurbished with bustling atmosphere. I enjoyed the open steak sandwich with a chocolate cake for dessert. The gold cutlery is a nice touch.

Just a really cool place to have brunch and read a book / tablet. Service was much better than expected and the flavor of our food was extremely high. We had a party of five and were taken care as if we were in a fine dining restaurant. Just very pleased with our experience.

A very trendy, bohemian bar in Reykjavik. It seems to be one of those places to be seen. It had a relaxing, easy vibe to it and good beers too. Try it!

Very cool cafe. We went close to opening, so it wasn't very busy. It seems like it was mostly Americans eating there. Staff was kind and service was quick. The laundry area is downstairs with the restrooms. There is also a large children's play area next to the machines.

Food was good. But after waiting for 20 minutes, we had to physically get up and get our own menus. And then we had to seek out a waiter to place our order after another 10 minutes of waiting. The service was completely horrible. Unless you're looking to use the laundry machines downstairs, I'd recommend finding a different restaurant to give your money to.

Great atmosphere and decor, and the burgers were second to none! The perfect place for a relaxing lunch after a long walk/flight, with reasonably priced alcohol for Iceland. Would definitely visit again!

In the general rip off of Reykjavik city center, this place is a relief!! Small menu, but delicious pulled duck burger, and very nice selection of beers (2 for 1 with your meal, by the way). The place is cosy (lots of maps and books everywhere), and the staff adorable. And all for a relatively cheap price. My number one in Reykjavik! :)

Found the service to be very hit or miss. I was ignored for a good 10 minutes before getting a chance to order dinner. The turnaround once ordered was fast, the kitchen staff are quite good. I had the "pulled duck" burger. I had to ask for a napkin, not sure if I was expected to get it for myself, but I spent half the meal without one and couldn't see where they were located. The duck burger was ok, but I would not come here again for dinner unless I had a lot of laundry to do. Which I didn't.

This was my first restaurant I ate at in Iceland and I really wish I had picked another. The worst aspect of my experience was the wait and there were barely any other people in the place. I sat at the counter for a good 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was sitting there. I know it was that long because they stop serving their breakfast at 1130, I got there a little after 1050, and didn't take my order until 1110. I had a coffee and the Dirty Breakfast. The coffee was fine and the meal was so-so because it wasn't very warm when I got it. This is a shame considering how expensive it is to eat here. I won't be coming back again nor would I recommend this establishment to anyone.

What a wonderful place for breakfast! Friendly staff and the food was excellent! I had what's called the dirty breakfast and it was plenty of food considering how much I love to eat. The maps and pictures on the walls are cool as well! I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone!

Only got water and did my laundry here. There was another laundromat at a hostel, but they only had one set (washer and dryer). Here they have 4 sets for a cheaper price, by 1 USD. For the use of 1 set, it'll cost you $15. For some powder, it'll need another $1.50
That's $16.50 in total. I used 2 washers (both fully loaded) and 1 dryer which still had some space left.
The washers are tiny, but the dryer is big. The water was good :)

Great coffee shop / bar. A very unique environment, there's even a playground for kids, as well as real laundromats downstairs. A unique place to check out for sure!
Quality of drinks wasn't the best though, and the waiter - while being super nice - had to take our order twice for some reason.

I loved this place. We actually went here twice during our 8 days in Iceland. It's the only laundromat I was able to find, so that was great. But more importantly I was quite happy with it as a breakfast place. Both times we went we had breakfast while we waited on the laundry running downstairs. It seems pretty busy, but we didn't have to wait for a table. No more expensive than everyplace else in the area.

You need to do laundry in Reykjavik? Great! You can do it here! However, be ready to wait, since they only have 4 sets of washers and dryers and the washers are tiny. That big industrial set to the side isn't for you, so don't ask.

The coffee was ok and the food was priced fairly high, even by Icelandic standards, so I didn't try any. At least you get a free refill on the regular coffee. The staff were very nice and helpful though, so there's that.

Overall, I needed to do laundry and this place helped me accomplish that task. The average wash cycle was 35-45 minutes depending on the settings, and the dryers are about half that (which isn't bad). The price came out to something like 3300 Kr for two loads (4 tokens) with detergent, which you get upstairs with the tokens to use for the machines.

I also recommend getting here early if you have other plans for the day. I got there about an hour after they opened and lucked into an open washer and dryer. Also, be sure to read the instructions on the wall before operating anything, as it can be a little confusing the first time.

This place is a treasure for parents with small kids. I wanted to go somewhere but I didn't want to just seat my baby in a baby chair because I know that's not funny for her. The Laundromat Cafe is the perfect place for kids. Downstairs they have a HUGE room full of toys and books where kids can play freely while parents can watch them from the tables. We'll come back for sure. Many times.

Decent little place to eat breakfast. Nothing special, just eggs, pancakes and fruit. Cool atmosphere though, and crowded as hell. Service was pretty rough, we had to go find our server several times.

The most interesting and quirky place we ate at in Reykjavik.

Loved how the books had been colour co ordinated, the funny pictures hanging on the wall and the use of a laundry facility in the basement!

We came for breakfast one morning I ordered the basic breakfast and my partner ordered the stack of pancakes, his only complaint, there wasn't enough! He actually said they were the best pancakes he'd ever tasted!

Staff were friendly and service was quick.

The cafe is open in the evening for evening meals too.

If you like quirky, check this place out!

Nice cozy little cafe. Stopped in for breakfast before a tour and got the pancakes with sausage and eggs. The pancakes were amazing, very thick and hearty. Sausage was very fresh and came out nice and crispy. Great vibe and good eats.
