Of course, I have to give this place high points. My only complaint is the price.

Facilities were very clean, the water was lovely. You are expected to shower naked, but the shower stalls have doors.

The silica mud mask did make my face feel lovely, but my hands were all dry after bathing for about 90 minutes.

The Blue Lagoon was amazing! I rented a car and this was my first stop from the airport. I upgraded to the spa retreat and it was well worth it. The service was great and the amenities were awesome. I even ventured over to the public side and met a few ladies from the US. I would recommend this stop on the way from the airport as it is only 15 minutes from the airport and about 40 minutes from Reykjavik.

Possibly the main reason people go to Iceland and with good reason. The ticket is valid for the day so you can stay for as king as you like. You get given a wristband so can pay for drinks at the swim up bar so you don’t need cash. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak perfect English. The car park is very big so driving there is no problem. When I went the roads were very quiet too. All in all it was a brilliant experience there.

Blue Lagoon at Grindavik was one of the best experiences of my life when we visited Iceland. It’s definitely a once in a lifetime experience you can’t do many other places. To go from extremes of -3C degrees outside and walking into the pools, to then 37 degrees C when you’re in it was amazing. Sheer extremes. We had an amazing time and it’s definitely something I want to experience again but I am so glad that I can say that I have done this. Just amazing.

I went here around 11 am. It was a little busy but not too bad. I got the comfort package with the towel and a free drink. I wish they had towels in the changing rooms. My towel was knocked on the floor by someone and so it was soaking wet before I used it to dry off. There was staff around but they would pick up the dirty towels and leave. I didn't want to run around trying to find them to get a different towel. I wish they would also play some relaxing music while you are out in the lagoon. That would make it feel more like a spa verses a over sized hot tub. I did feel it was a little over priced for the experience, but also feel you should go once in your life.

It is a fairly unique experience and not to be missed. We went early morning when it was dark and i would recommend doing that so you get to enjoy sunrise whilst in the lagoon. An extra treat was enjoying the not exactly cheap but delicious restaurant on the edge of the lagoon. The only downside is the reality that this is tourism 101 - i got as much enjoyment from some of the hot springs that operate as part of normal life elsewhere in Iceland.

Very expensive Like all of Iceland. But. We got the cheapest tickets which included a towel and a free beverage of our choice and a free mud mask. This was a great surprise when we got there. Very very busy. Shower and locker system were not explained to us very well so we guessed our best and hoped it was okay. Some spots are very warm some spots were just cold. We were able to move around the lagoon and explore all of the areas. We also really enjoyed the small walking path next to the parking area. For sure would recommend walking along it to see the blue waters in the streams flowing through mossy rocks. Overall happy we went

Very expensive but definitely worth splashing out on. You may not be back to Iceland again for a while. Don't rush it, spend a couple of hours here.
Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I left my shorts in the change rooms and the girl from lost and found was so helpful. Managed to get them back the next week after traveling around Iceland, dry cleaned and all! Great service!!

Knew it would be a tourist trap but went anyway and enjoyed it more than I anticipated. Very friendly staff, organized and clean facilities. The water was amazing! If you have very sensitive skin you might want to skip the complimentary facial.

Loved our experience here. Is it expensive? Yes, but I think it was worth it. Locker rooms were nice and clean and huge, and the actual lagoon was an awesome experience. We didn't find it too crowded and there was room to spread out. You can also spend as much time as you want, which is great. Definitely bring a towel if you didn't reserve one. A bathrobe is also a good idea.

My husband and I visited the Blue Lagoon in Feb with our two boys aged 12 and 9 and another family and we all absolutely loved it! There was snow all around, -1 temperature, a small snow flurry and a setting sun all of which made it a truly magical experience. Our arrival time slot was 6-7pm and you are allowed to go in 10 mins before that. The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful, especially the lady in the gift shop at the end of our visit who was encouraging all the kids to try the lovely (but very expensive) hand cream and lip balm, which I must say was amazing stuff and smelled lovely.

We'd read quite a few reviews in advance of our trip and I'm really glad as the tips and information were very helpful. We booked in advance online, brought towels with us (easy to find them since they weren't white as all the blue lagoon ones are) and flip flops (not that we used them). The lockers are quite tricky but once you get the knack of closing your door then scanning your wristband on the scanner (not on your locker) it worked fine.

Other tips that we found helpful were:
You can enter the blue lagoon from inside the building so you don't have to walk outside;
Free silica face masks are located in a swim up kiosk on the left;
Water fountains dotted around;
The buildings to your left after you enter the lagoon are the sauna and 2 stream rooms.

Even in February we spent over 2 hours in the lagoon and it was great that if there was anything we wanted to buy outside our package all they did was scan our wristband and we paid on exit.

We loved that the lagoon was still so natural with a silica uneven base, a stream cave and not too much lighting around despite it being such a huge tourist attraction. A show of the northern lights would have been the icing on the cake but fortunately on the drive back to our house they made a faint appearance so a perfect evening after all.

Amazing place. Full of positive energy. Its a bit costly for Slovakian travelers, buy worth any pence. The changing rooms are clean and discreet. Customer care is at the best. And the water? Wow! Love the temperature, the amazing smell and the location. I will be back :)

This place was awesome. Definitely recommend checking luggage at bottom building if you are coming from airport. Also bring flip flops if you don't want to pay for them. We stayed here for about two and half hours. I think that was the perfect account off time. Wouldn't plan on sending the entire day here though. Very cool place though highly recommend.

Brilliant experience. Water is very warm. Buy phone cases before you go. I would only get the cheapest package and take your own towels (use hotel towels). Do not think the other packages are necessarily better value for money. The locker system and payment system works on a electronic wrist band which is very useful. Best times to go are in the day, we went before sunset and stayed until it got dark, was fun to see the two experiences. Daytime is better in my view as you get the views of the mountains. The Lava restaurant is good too.
