Five stars because on my last night in Iceland, I stood alongside the statue of Ingolfur Arnarsson as the Northern Lights flowed over the city from the west. This is a relatively dark place in the midst of all the lights in Central Reykjavik, so if the Aurora are out at night, this could be a good location to catch them.

Here's what you need to know:
- This long grassy hill is a perfect place to sit, lay, chat and catch the incredible sunsets of Reykjavik
- During the day the grass if often full of travelers, tourists, couples and folks of all kinds lounging, lunching and laying
