A villa right in the middle of nowhere! Perfect for hiking tours to the local mountains (around 1100m high) and sightseeing in the western and central parts of iceland.
It takes about 70min to reach the start of the golden circle, the Þingvellir national park, and 3h (230km) to get to the skogafoss in the south without using the tunnel.
Grocery stores are about 25min (37km) away and reykjavik around 70min (84km).
All in all a good place if you like it quiet and remote, but a bit too far away for sightseen in the south and expensive since you'll probably have to cross the tunnel to reykjavik at least twice (1000ISK for each car each crossing).response / report this review -
