I can't say enough amazing things about Juan Carlos and 2GoIceland! I only had 3 days & he planned everything perfectly. I can't wait to go back and spend more time and I will have Juan Carlos plan everything. If you are looking to see the sites & hidden spots to visit and eat - he is your guy! He will plan everything from airport pick up/drop to tours both on a budget or luxury, to hotel accommodations and restaurants!

Our experience with 2Go Iceland was outstanding. From quick response to every request we made to a very great and custom made itinerary to fit our small family, 2Go made from our journey to Iceland a memorable one. We enjoyed every sight with the fabulous guide Gudni, and each hour with him was a full class of history and of course a lot of laughs.
We didn't include the Blue Lagoon in our package because we rather enjoyed the natural geothermal pools that are available all around the country. Iceland is a country with an unique mystery and my only big concern was that we wanted to stay longer. For sure our next trip will be with Carlos and his company 2Go Iceland, because is no better way to go to this amazing country without the great customer service from them.response / report this review -

The trip was incredible. I have been telling everyone that they need to go to Iceland and have given 2Go Iceland's information. Carlos planned the entire trip for my family. After discussions with Carlos we decided to do an independent driving trip with Carlos always available for support. It was an great option because we still felt like we had a guide whenever we needed advice. It was one of the few trips that we have taken that we started planning a return trip on the way home.
Before booking with 2Go Iceland, I had read the Tripadvisor reviews. It almost looked like a scam that every review was 5 stars and there was nothing negative. After working with Carlos through planning and the actual trip I know now that all the reviews are completely true. Carlos made sure that my family had an incredible experience. It felt like we where his only client the entire time. I still do not know when he sleeps.

2Go Exceeded all expectations
Simply put, there will be 2 types of people that read this review:
1) those that decide to go with Carlos and 2Go as their tour operator and guides for Iceland, and have an unforgettable experience at a ridiculously good price
or
2) those that do not, and don't realize what they've missed out on.
I am usually not someone who writes reviews. I am doing so now bc of how fantastic our experience with Carlos and his tour guide Gudni are. We were 3 very-well traveled couples with 2 kids each (12 people total) for a private tour in July 2017. It was customized to us, went off without a hitch, and was even adjusted on the fly to tailor to our tastes as they got to know us better. Before we chose them, i "interviewed" 6 different tour operators. 2Go came back as the most responsive, with the most packed itinerary, and for the best price. It was to the point where we were concerned it was too good to be true. This was one of those happy instances in life where it was great and true.
As an aside, Gudni was previously a science teacher of 6-12 y.o. kids. He was a pied piper for our kids (ages 4-9).

Our experience with 2Go since the very beginning was awe-inspiring. We send an email after surfing the web for recommendations, and we found their page. After like 5 minutes we got an email from Carlos, who will be later our travel advisor. We got our first travel plan that night, and we couldn't stop looking each other (my husband and me), because was the first time after traveling the world that we got a rapid answer. Over a few months, we added activities, also my ideas that Carlos later included in the final itinerary. Working with Carlos was so easy. He very patiently makes all changes we requested, and we felt how professional he was all the time. The day we arrived, we got a personal bag with all the information about the country, flyers, and recommendations. Also a dossier with our Travel Plan, Icelandic water, and some delicious snacks. Indeed a very nice touch from 2Go.
Every day, Carlos make sure was on the right track. He sends us GPS information directly to our phones all the time, and even very late at night he always answered us. We felt very safe having him always running in the background. I must say that the only thing we missed did not have at least more time to spend in this wonderful country. 2Go Iceland was the best choice we could ever make for our trip and travel planning. If you are looking for a competent, professional and unique experience in Iceland, this is the company for you.response / report this review -

We were so pleased to be able to work with Carlos and the team at 2Go Iceland after the high praise from friends that used 2Go Iceland when they travelled to the country in the fall of 2016. We were 8 people travelling (4 couples) and we are very active. We had a vision for our trip that included a lot of hiking and a lot of ambitious sightseeing that was “out of the box”. Carlos didn’t hesitate to tackle our wish list and guide us in the best way possible to be certain that we covered what we hoped to cover and also not miss any of the important Iceland treasures. He made wonderful suggestions for us to consider to keep the trip interesting & balanced. At one point in the planning process, Carlos arranged a conference call with a friend of his who was more knowledgeable about a specific hike we were planning (FimmV) and that helped us better understand the details on the buses we would need to take and the location to spot our cars. It proved to be very, very helpful (and the hike was amazing!)
We were greeted us at the airport (it was very late!) by the most cheerful guide and getting the cars that he arranged for us was incredibly easy. Carlos made sure we had everything we needed for each stop on our trip .. maps, last minute suggestions, ideas about restaurants, even the suggested “best time of day” to drive from place to place. He checked in with us regularly and he was unbelievably quick to respond when we had a question. Even “on the fly” Carlos added little tidbits of things to see and places to eat & even the food specials at different restaurants which we shouldn’t miss!
We had a great vacation in Iceland and Carlos did an amazing job to insure that we made the most of our time there.response / report this review -

We had a fantastic trip to Iceland and can't thank Carlos and Gudni enough. We had a group of 8, including a small child. Carlos was extremely helpful and quick to reply from the moment we first inquired. Traveling with a very small child made some of our destinations difficult. When we talked to other companies they wanted to steer us to other pre-packaged things, cutting out important stops based on our group. Carlos with 2Go Iceland listened to what we wanted to do most, and setup a tour that was perfect for what we wanted to do, including similar destinations that were better and easier for a small child.
Once we arrived in Iceland, our guide Gudni picked us up from the airport *very early* in the morning. It didn't take more than a day before it felt like he was part of the family. We had a packed 5 day trip in our beautiful, spacious van, equipped with a car seat for our little one (easily seating more than 8). Gudni would pick us up in the dark drive us all around the country and deliver us back to our front door after dark. He was incredibly knowledgeable about each of our stops, but also the areas we were passing through. I don't think we had a single disappointing meal despite the variety of locations and restaurants. It was difficult to say goodbye to such a beautiful place like Iceland, but it was especially hard to leave our new friend behind.

The current ranking of 2Go Iceland (as of 24 Jan 17) does it no favours. To be honest, we were initially deciding between 2Go and another company which had a better ranking. In the end, we decided to go with 2Go because Carlos was very patient with us, promptly answering all our queries while we were still deciding.
On the very first night we arrived in Reykjavík, we experienced for ourselves the level of service that previous travelers with 2Go have described. After dropping our luggages, we proceeded for the northern lights tour and only made our way back at 1:30 am. We were both tired and hungry. Knowing this, Carlos kindly helped arrange for our meal (dinner/supper) and was up waiting for us to deliver our vouchers, welcome bag despite the timing. From then on, we understood what it meant to have Carlos as your 'best friend' in Iceland.
Looking back comparatively, the vehicles that we traveled in were superior than what would have been if we went with the other company. Overall, the arrangements and experience that Carlos had put together for us exceeded our expectations.response / report this review -

My wife and I were initially going to try and plan our trip to Iceland by ourselves until a friend recommended that we contact Carlos. We couldn’t be happier that we did! Before arriving in Iceland, Carlos helped us find a very affordable, yet reliable, rental car and provided us with detailed daily itineraries for us to follow. While in Iceland, he was always available if we had any questions or concerns about our trip.
Carlos also provided us with a personal guide, Gudni, who took us on a great tour around the Golden Circle. Gudni was extremely friendly and knowledgable, taking us to the major tourist sites but also providing a unique experience that we wouldn’t have received if we had gone by ourselves or with a tour bus. He also helped us navigate through some very treacherous road conditions on our way back to Reykavik!!!
We loved Iceland and plan to return to experience the summer. When we do, we’ll definitely contact Carlos again to help us plan the trip. Overall, we couldn’t be more pleased with the help and service we received from both Carlos and Gudni. I definitely recommend that anyone traveling to Iceland and interested in having an amazing experience to contact Carlos and his team before planning anything!!response / report this review -

We worked with Carlos in planning a week in Iceland and could not have been more pleased. When we initially contacted them they were very responsive, and that responsiveness continued during the planning of our trip and while we were in Iceland.
Through email and some phone calls, we discussed generally what we wanted to do and a budget, and then Carlos provided a suggested itinerary. We made some adjustments but largely were happy with his initial proposal. We opted for a mix of self-guided (with a rental car) days, a private tour (of the Golden Circle), and one group (for visiting "Into the Volcano"), following his suggestions and our own general preferences. Carlos explained the options and activities and was very responsive. For the self-guided days, Carlos provided a detailed suggested itinerary and recommendations for meals. Each of the restaurants he suggested was excellent. He also arranged for pick up and return to the airport, our rental car, and tickets for those activities that required them (we had already arranged our flights and hotel in Reykjavik, but I expect he would have arranged those also).
His itineraries were great (we followed them closely) and we had a fabulous trip. The timing worked very well to make sure we made it to various activities for which we had tickets (into the glacier, in a lava cave, snowmobiling on another glacier, the Blue Lagoon) on time. And we saw everything we wanted to see. The drivers always arrived ahead of schedule. And when it looked like the rental car shuttle might not get us to the rental car conveniently, he switched us (no additional cost) to a driver to get us to the rental car.
Carlos remained in close contact while we were in Iceland. He checked in to make sure things were going well and provided us with very helpful suggestions. The first day we had the rental car he let us know that it looked like the Northern Lights would be active that night. We followed his suggestion for where to go to see them and were rewarded with a spectacular show. As it turned out, that was the only night while we were there that the lights were visible. He also provided updates about the weather, which proved very helpful.
We had a great vacation in Iceland, and Carlos did a great job allowing us to focus on enjoying our trip.response / report this review
