The Museum of Photography is the first specialized museum in Iran and the Middle East that is intended for photographic activities.
The museum was established in April of 1995 in an area of ​​250 square meters, and with the efforts of Bahman Jalali.
This permanent museum has several sections that are considered for the existing space conditions for photographic activities.
One of the sections of this museum is two exhibitions for exhibitions of photography and film. The first large-format large-scale cameras from the inventions until 1900, and various photographic instruments and tools for the advent of the photo. This exhibition space is the venue for temporary exhibitions or museum periods, including photo exhibitions of contemporary photographers and private collectors, as well as displaying old photographs of the museum's archives. The 2nd Small and Medium-sized Interchange Cameras from the 1900s to the 1970s were exhibited. In addition, there are slide projector and a few camcorders. Also, an old studio sample is also beautifully added to this gallery.
In the library of this museum, books, magazines and publications published in the field of photography are kept in Persian and English.response / report this review -
