The Martyr Museum was opened and established in the present place in 1996 and by presence of that time president of Iran. This museum includes three main floors and a gallery of war photography at the basement.
Martyr Museum is the place to keep and preserve and exhibit the items and personal objects of martyrs permanently.
The museum was founded by the aim of keeping alive the memory of martyrs and their bravery and devotion for the country and Islam during the different periods of Islamic revolution and holy defense.
On this museum, one would find the relics and personal objects belonging to martyrs and the items include letters, testaments and wills, writings, and other personal objects.
We have a corridor of historical period of time here on museum which starts from early constitutional tine of Iran about 100 years ago and it keeps us moving toward different occasions of before and after revolution phase , martyrs of assassination and others until the very present time.
On the 2nd floor, there are items belonging to female martyrs, sportsman martyrs, Mecca martyrs, martyrs of civic bombardment, journalist martyrs, martyrs of religious minorities, and students.
Finally there are some artistic pieces of works on the 3rd floor with the concept of martyrs and martyrdom.
On the basement there is a gallery of war photos to catch the eyes of the beholder.
Each month there are visitors coming to visit the museum from different parts of the country. There are also visitors from countries such as Germany, Russia, Netherlands, France, China, India, Pakistan and Australia.

A museum which is dedicated to the martyrs of the oppositions of former Iran's king, Iran & Iraq war and those who have been killed in bombings and terrorist attacks. If you are into war and terrorism history, this place could be a good place to refer to.
