Good pub. Good beer. Personally I find the newly refurbished spaces less warm and comfortable compared to the previous layout.

Great beer, great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the pub quiz, not something I usually join in on.

A nice pub with an outstanding ale selection, cheap non-alcoholic drinks and a fun pub quiz great prizes.

What I would describe as a proper pub, somewhere to go for a good pint and conversation in a nice atmosphere.
We like to go there as it is just opposite the Bus stop and is a great way to start an evening in town, the trouble is we struggle to leave sometimes and end up there the whole evening.
They always have a good selection of guest ales on that are well looked after, which does'nt help us when we intend to move on somewhere else.
