A serious historical venue, with much symbolism and information at every step of the way. Largely for adults only. After this one should prepare to be motivated to do a lot of research, for it feels that there is so much more that you need to know, that they do not have the time nor resources to tell you.

Extremely well planned and presented, with a "you are there" feeling that encourages empathy with Holocaust victims. Cavernous building houses scads of information and learning material. Highly recommend!

It is close to the Dead Sea,
Which is ironic at best,
It’s right in the desert,

That millions were murdered,

This is a must. The museum is very well done. Beware that it's a very hard-hitting place to visit (as most people expect), but the museum does a great job explaining the history and devastation caused from the Holocaust.

Heavy place. Great place to learn history. Opens a few new questions. Generally easy to get to via taxi or public transportation.

Admissions is free, but a map is 12 shekels and the guided tours are fee base. Sell guided tours are easy, too, but you'll probably get a lot of history-gap-filling with the guided tours.

Such an amazing place! Very detailed, every element in the museum is dead on - and the tour guides are very good at what they do!
One thing though. If you are planning on spending a long period of time there, take into consideration that the food is very expensive- and it is really bad- such a shame!

Nice place to visit but beware if you arrive after 3 you will not have the time to complete the tours.
They will escort you and kick and force you out of the museum by 5!!!!

Yad Vashem was a sobering reminder of the Holocaust of 75-80 years ago. I would recommend it for every teenager and adult -- lest we forget!
There are no other words to describe it!

Extremely detailed exhibition on the Holocaust, unfortunately the start and end of ww2 got a bit less attention than we would've liked to see. We didn't take an (audio) tour and still took several hours to go through it. If you're interested in this part of Jewish history this is a highly recommended place to visit. When you come by car, don't bother with the on-site parking which is unfriendly priced, but drive just past the entrance to find loads of free spots to put your car.

The story told into the Yad Vashem is very moving but full of pride as well. From the architecture of the building itself that has a very powerful and strong meaning, to the desperate story of the Holocaust, videos, stories, objects, many different aspects of the Holocaust. To me the most moving place was the memorial of the 500.000 jewish children killed during the war, outside the musem. Simple and very touching, can do no other than crying.

A place you simply have to visit! A very thorough and detailed museum and memorial to Holocaust and the six million killed Jews. A lot of facts and stories are told here. You can easily spend several hours at the indoor museum and then there are the garden and many outdoor monuments too, so if possible it's advantageous to share the visit over 2-3 times.

This is an absolute must-see in Israel. The exhibits are so well thought out, and the audio guides do a fantastic job of allowing visitors to explore at their own pace. While this is am emotional experience it's something everyone should see.

An amazing set up to accurately and effectively teach individuals about the holocaust, regardless of whether they are knowledgable or not. Artifacts are surrounded by a chronological description of the events and videos of survivor experiences in each part, making it very effective regardless of how you learn. After seeing the happy faces in pictures of the survivors entering Israel, you exit the indoor part to a beautiful view of Jerusalem which was very powerful. Wonderful setup and incredibly effective teaching tool.

We spent about 4 hours in there but I watched every video so if you don't do that, you could spend approx 2-3 hours. Underground parking available.

Great museum with a great exhibit of Holocaust history. The grounds are very beautiful. I remember the children's exhibit being better a long time ago. It's a somber and artistic exhibit but no information or details except for names. Otherwise an amazing Holocaust museum to visit.
