Beautiful monastery with an even more beautiful garden which is inhabited by little parrots. As one can image, the place is quite crowed with tourists. But it is okay until around 10am. The view in the sea of Galilee is amazing as well as long as the weather is good!

9.3.17 - The grounds are charming and the church itself is small, but pretty to walk through. To enter, your shoulders must be covered. There are other areas that require a nun to accompany you, but I'm not sure how much that is actually enforced.
Throughout the grounds there are areas to sit and enjoy the views, but in the low seasons it's way too hot.
Worth a short visit, but if you need to eliminate something from your itinerary, this is something you can skip.response / report this review -

A very clean and serene place. Will go back 100% to spend some more time. The views are mint, the gardens are really well kept and it was spick and span. Nice quiet place to reflect. The only annoying thing was that the shop closed really early, the shopkeeper was a bit mean and was rushing us.

A beautiful serene monastery at the site believed to be location of the sermon on the mount by Lord Jesus Christ. A great view of the Sea of Galilee from here.

The monastery is beautiful. The altar, the paintings, the mosaics as well as Jesus' messages on the walls are amazing. There is also a memorabilia of Pope John Paul II visit in 2000.

Sacred place of worship. Should visit when in The Holy Land. The architecture is so well preserved, it helps us to feel those ancient holy days.
