Absolutely amazing place. It may look a bit dodgy from outside but once you are inside. super friendly staff members

We have stood here for three exciting nights. It is a clean, friendly place for everyone who has open mind and deep to his pocket. I strongly reccomend!

I loved the yard with the sofas, trees, bus-bar and cool people hanging out. I wasn't traveling alone but I think that if you're solo, you can easily blend in and hang out with the staff and other travelers, the atmosphere is welcoming. There's a camping on the roof - a hilarious idea! Plus a bakery (open at night) right across the street. The hostel recommends things to do, we tried the free walking tour and a live African music gig at the docks, both great picks. Overstay isn't for everyone, though. Only for cool people.

I absolutely loved this place from the first time I stepped through the door. It's unique, it has it's own vibe and the staff and people there are more than friendly. They should think of buying new computers and maybe some AC but otherwise it was really great. Close to Old Jaffa (about 10mins walk)

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were as you would expect for a hostel. The atmosphere was good and the rooftop was pretty cool with its own casual bar and little pool. WiFi didn't really work for me but I had data anyway.

For the price its fine, really. Don't expect the ritz, regarding matress and breakfast quality. The staff is helpfull and friendly.

Awesome hostel within walking distance to the beach and shops (10 min) and within walking distance of bus stations (5 min) if you need to head downtown, the train station or the central bus station. The staff was international so language barriers shouldn't exist. Great hangout spot on the roof with couches, cold beer, a pool and an amazing atmosphere. Day or night, you could always find someone you met on the roof. Hot showers, clean bathrooms, large kitchen, do-it yourself laundry and rent-a-bike service are some of the other amenities that round this place out. Don't need to have a Pub Crawl listed: the staff goes out enough and will invite guests to the real spots locals go to for drinks, dancing and authentic (affordable) meals. Enjoy your overstay!

The audacity of these people. I've never in my life come across such horrible customer service. I had booked 7 beds for a weekend by calling in. The receptionist took my name and said the beds were available and were booked for me. The day arrived, and one of our group had arrived at the hostel to be told that we didn't have a booking because, get this, they don't take reservations over the phone, the night receptionist wasn't aware of this rule, and now all the beds we reserved were taken. They were so bold as to say this was my fault for not being aware that they only take online or email reservations, as if I had worked there and read the employee handbook. They also said that they tried to call me which is peculiar considering I didn't leave my phone number and had 0 missed calls, but again, it was my fault because I didn't answer their call to say my beds got booked. To top this all off I was still willing to stay should they have fixed the problem or given me a discount but they refused as it wasn't their mistake and instead offered me a more expensive, lower quality room than the originals I had booked. It's actually comical how disgusting their service was and needless to say I didn't end up staying in the end of this long process and will be sure to warn others not to book there in the future.

A really fun place to hang out, especially if you are planning on doing things in the Yaffo area. Really cool rooftop space + friendly staff.
Gets really crowded though, and very loud into the night. The floorboards creek constantly, so everyone wakes everyone else up.response / report this review
