Not a 5-star hotel for sure, but for what it is (a youth hostel) it is perfect. Very clean, good Israeli style meals with options for Western palate, great central TA location by the park. Good for tour groups and large families. If you have a car to park, you might want to look elsewhere.

The rooms in this place we're very small and there was barely any room for our luggage. Another thing that happened is that at around 1 am the power in our room stopped working and we had to move our luggage all the way up to the third floor. The breakfast was okay, but was worse quality than many other places I have stayed at. Overall this place is inexpensive and slightly below average.

The rooms were great and clean. The only problem I found, was that there was an angry man who got mad about the slightest noise. Exept for this it was a great stay.

Expensive items disappeared from my room on checkout date (Sept 2, 2016) after a stay with this hostel for medical school orientation. I filed a police report and am going to a small claims court:

Following a thorough look through cleaning rooms, the reception lost-and-found, and also the room I stayed in -- after confirmation that my classmate/ roommate did not have my things, and that she recalled seeing them on my bed before she left and before I arrived to take them -- we could not find them.

So (as mentioned) I filed a complaint that evening with the local police department, and am now going to a small claims court to compel the hostel to pay for replacements since they refuse to do so on their own good will for their clear liability. Sad situation, and obviously not something I want to deal with as a busy student.

Do not stay at this place. Your expensive belongings are not safe there.

I wrote a review previously, but it seems it was erased. I stayed here from August 15th and was supposed to remain until the 30th. I ended up leaving (whilst still paying for the hostel) that night. The air conditioner did not work and the rooms doubled as saunas - we asked to have it repaired but because it was the weekend, the front desk neither seemed to care nor were they particularly fond of our presence. I understand that it is a hostel but putting 4 beds in such a tiny room made a prison cell seem preferable and due to the lack of central air, the hallways were steamier than our rooms. I finally managed to talk management into giving our party a new room with a "functioning air conditioner" and decided to move back after spending $375 on a better hotel in the area - bad idea - this time I woke up with flea bites all over my legs.

Please find another place. I am telling you this as a traveler and a student.

DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT book this hostel — alone or with friends. We arrived as part of in mid-august. I was ushered into a stuffy room about the size of 2 broom closets - there was no room for movement or the storage of luggage - it was like living in a humid tent. The air conditioner DOES NOT work in some rooms and the hostels top floors are not ventilated, it's less effective than a man in the ventilation blowing air through a straw. The staff are completely apathetic to your concerns and they will not refund. I spent $125 a day in a hotel just to get out of that place - yes, I was that desperate for AC.
