Expensive prices for the food offered, they make you pay for the pita bread and also ask for a tip.
Amazing dinner! I appreciate the support you provide to the IDF!
Extremely disappointing the ambiance looked lively and it smelled good so we had high expectations. The first thing they ask is “will you want some salad” but don’t explain what it is and whether it is complimentary, and they bring you several dishes of hummus and other typical stuff that cost more than 100 shekels. Bread and olives are brought to the table as you sit, they don’t even ask you if you want any, and it is also charged for. Meat is good, but small quantities, see my pictures. Fish is fried, not tasty at all. When you ask for the bill, they give no details of what your ordered. The guy just said “service is not included”. It was our first day in Tel Aviv and we live in Europe, where we have no indication of minimum percentage needed like you can find in the USA. Nothing was written on the receipt either, so we left 20 shekels, which would be quite a good tip for a meal like that in Europe. The waiter stormed back to the table and threw our bank note on the table saying “what is it, is it the tip? It should be at least 10%!” We just put the equivalent of 10% and left, still shocked by the rudeness of the waiter I do not recommend this restaurant!
Very bad service, food is very expensive .
They charge even for pita and each salad that they bring without asking you in advance.
Excellent kosher restaurant serving very tasty shashlik, excellent French fries and fresh green salad. Worth a visit.
The restaurant looked promising. But there are just meat grills with few meat on it. In addition pitot and gherkins are not included (count 4NIS/ person). They are brought to you when you have not asked for anything.
The bean soup that was thought to be vegetarian is actually made with meat.
I got away with 69NIS with an impression of getting ripped off. In still I took the cheapest grills. After that climbs above 79.
And when I asked for explanations on the bill the waiter got annoyed. Not professional.
This restaurant is only playing on the fact that it is old. Flee it!
It was a wonderful experience of genuine kosher cuisine. Food was traditional and delicious. Service was up to expectations.
historic place. Good food and good price.
Amazing food , great staff i would definitely go there again
I remember visiting this place as a young kid. Still the same guy with the long beard welcoming the guest (today an older person). The place started with a bang. Unfortunately today it seems that as the menu, and the ppl remain the same, they assume that the decor too should remain untouched for 30 yrs. And I must say that it is felt in every way possible, which is too bad, since this is a place with raiving fans.
Great service and facility and food
Ethnic food. Very nice place
Has kosher certificate from rabbanut. I came in around 6, and the place was totally empty. Humus and salatim are not included and cost extra, as do pickles and olives -- it was a bit expensive. Humus was good. Lamb and moulard skewers were tasty. Seems like a good place for tourists and large groups. Overall 4/5.
My first time in Tel-Aviv-Yafo, Israel but it won't be the last one! I had the honored to have an amazing and delicious dinner with all my friends of Faith & Heritage Tours! Thank you for the best customer service! Shema Israel!
Great food and drink! If you don't know own what you're doing, the waiter will guide you to a great experience.
Lovely atmosphere. Ate with a large group of people and had a private room up some stairs. The lamb and duck shisklik, lamb chops and schnitzel were excellent. The amount of pitas brought was significant as were the salad/hummus/eggplant etc. Everything was really tasty and the meal service just flowed. You never felt rushed nor that you were waiting. Quite well priced considering the portion sizes. Would come back here again
