Let's begin with the good - nice staff, good vibe, prime location, but- **warning*" rooms are much smaller than declared and for sure pictures on website do not reflect reality, to say the least. Not cool at all. Also, pieces from the ceiling kept falling down, quite embarrassing. We've paid 500 USD a night for the Signature Suite and is not worth one dollar over 400 USD a night (Considering location factor and Breakfast).

We stayed here for a romantic get away and it couldn't have been more perfect. The room was super clean and very comfortable with a snack, wine and coffee waiting for us. The entire place is a stylish combination of modern comfort meets old Ein Karem.
The garden with fish pond and splashing water invites to relax and one can use the wet/dry saunas and the little pool.
Especially the grape covered roof top with an amazing view over the village is a must to enjoy with a glass of wine.
The rich and fresh Israeli breakfast was also delicious and is served where ever you decide to sit.
The stuff was most outstanding, helpful and super nice. They went way and beyond to make us feel at home and cared for from the first to the last moment.

It took me a time to decide to publish or not to publish this review, but after 2 month after my visit I think that I have to warn another people regarding to this hotel.
This was one of the most unpleasant stays in any hotels around the world.
What was suppose to be present to wife birthday become one huge disappointment.
First of all be careful with the photos that hotel publish in the web site. They hired a very good photographer and the real room appear different when you see it in person.
When I arrived to hotel and got negative impression from room I ordered I asked to see another rooms, but the answer of the staff was that other room are in renovation
Process and I can’t see them.
One of the issues with the room was that there glass doors to the bathroom and toiler that did not had any stopper that was able to hold them in the closed position.
As the result of this I earned view to the toilet bowl during my stay in the room.
I agree that it might be my fault not checking another guest photos of the room in order to get real impression, but when I found that there is no hot water in the room I was quite
surprised. I asked stuff member to fix the issue and I took half an hour to fix the issue, but when I tried to fill the bath it appeared there is not enough hot water in hotel to fill
one bath !!! When I approached staff member and told him that this is not acceptable he blamed me that I don’t understand nothing in how water heater works and according
To him this is normal.
After this I asked to talk with owner of the hotel and I took half an hour for the lady to call me back ( she was not in the hotel ). After I raised my concerns about the water situation she also
blamed me that my complaints not reasonable. After such hotel stuff and owner attitude I told hotel owner that I want to leave hotel and I want my money returned.
She told me that I will not get a cent from her, cause I already used hotel facilities ( I am talking about 3 hours after check in !!!! ).
In any case I had no chance and I stayed one night and left hotel early in the morning.

We took our whole family for a weekend to celebrate our wedding. The rooms are beautiful, the staff was caring and welcoming, and the location is walking distance from Ein Karem’s center, and a short drive from anywhere in Jerusalem. We also recommend having dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, where Yaron, the chef, prepared a private meal tailored for us.

Small lovely and cozy hotel with nice garden, a tiny swimming pool and a roof terrace overlooking the village. We had a very nice and clean room. We enjoyed the home cooked food for breakfast and the evening meal which was delicious. Everything tasted so good and staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
If you have a car, this hotel is great for visiting Jerusalem Old City. There is a 15 min drive to the Mamila parking, which is located right in front of Jaffa Gate.response / report this review -

I booked this place as a wedding gift for my sister and her husband. Booked them the signature suite and the chef dinner from overseas, so all correspondence was made from abroad. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was absolutely amazing and so helpful. I asked for the best room, and they gave it to them! I got there early to put stuff in their room and they kindly let me in to set everything up. The hotel is astonishingly beautiful and well decorated. The old stone building is glamorous, as well as the garden and the rooftop area. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone that is wanting something fancy!!! Thanks to the staff for helping me arrange this wonderful gift. The newlyweds REALLY enjoyed everything!!

Disappointing. For a boutique hotel with super high prices there were far too many mistakes made. Some were small some larger but overall it seemed the place was very poorly managed and not at all what you would expect for these prices. First, I called twice and emailed to schedule a massage. They said they weren't sure if a masseuse was available but if so they would call. They never called but on check in day they called to ask why we hadn't yet arrived for our massages. They even managed to make us feel bad about it too! In our room; the curtain in the bathroom was falling down not covering the window, we found a half eaten cookie to welcome us and someone tried to enter the room while we were in it. (No knock) At dinner, the credit card machine was broken so they asked people to pay cash or write down their cc number.
There were good things too:
Gal the hostess was extremely kind and even upgraded us. The breakfast was outstanding and very special. You can watch them prep the food and bake bread in the wood fired oven. There is a beautiful garden and roof top with a view.response / report this review -

Beautiful gorgeous Boutique Hotel tucked in a hidden street that is hard to find . When you walk in it’s as if you got transported back in time . The rooms are designed with Jerusalem stones and the paintings are stunning . Great amazing service and a hostess . They pay attention to the little details in every room . Make sure you book in advance and take the opportunity to sit in the gardens or the roof top . There are many boutiques hotels in Israel but none can compare to this one . It’s unique of its kind . We are in Israel and it’s rare to see a strong current shower or a very large king bed ,this place has it all . If you get chilly at night they even offer a warm blanket while you gaze at the hill tops of Jerusalem . You may not want to leave once you get comfortable . The best part is the elegant but home like dining room . You get to meet the chefs and watch them in action . What more can you ask for . Will make sure return on my next trip to Israel .

As with most boutique hotels, the setting and the atmosphere ate what make this hotel a great experience for a peaceful weekend. Located in the heart of Ein Kerem (or as Israelis pronounce, Ein Karem), an enchanted village with famous churches and tasteful restaurants. Less than 15 minutes from the center of Jerusalem, the village is easily accessible.
The Alegra boutique hotel has 13 rooms, each designed differently. The rooms are all situated in old Arabic authentic houses, some in the main building, while the rest of the rooms are in adjacent houses in the neighborhood. There is a small wading pool within the shaded backyard. On the balcony of the main building there us beautiful sun bathing area with couches and pillows, providing a panoramic view of the area including the breathtaking Russian church with its golden towers.
The dining area is within and enclosed patio, with an open kitchen serving breakfasts and chef dinners.

Our stay at Alegra Hotel was FANTASTIC! Everyone was wonderful and very helpful. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the huge jacuzzi tub in our bathroom. This is the perfect place to relax or have a romantic getaway.
We were very impressed with the multi-course breakfast, served in the comfortable and very chic restaurant. We loved speaking to the chef and learning about the various dishes. Each morning was different and we couldn't wait to find out what was going to be served!
The hotel is located in Ein Kerem, which is a fantastic little village. There are a few fantastic restaurants to enjoy and couple chocolate shops!response / report this review -

Don't hesitate , book it for your next holiday destination in Jerusalem! This place is the real deal with all you asked for in small boutique hotels . We stayed just for one night, but you can't stop admire the small things you can't get in a big hotel. Take a walk in the streets near by , and you will discover magic In Every corner don't forget to take your camera 🎥
