Some of the food was excellent, but my steak was almost raw. I had requested medium rare leading to medium. I sent it back to be thoroughly cooked. It came back more done but didn't have much flavor. Very disappointing considering that this is a very expensive restaurant. Pareve desert tasted it.
Our party of six had a very nice dinner. The service was uneven but generally good. The dips with a whole grain bread were very good, and they had a gluten free bread option. We had a Petite Castel 2014, which was delicious and relatively fairly priced. Two of us had the ceviche special, which had a nice twist with rice noodles and was very good, and the lamb shoulder, which turned out to be a "lamb loaf", but nonetheless was delicious. Others had entrecote steak, goose leg, and a fillet (I think); all were presented well and, by the amount of food left over (none), were well received. We'll go again!
We made a reservation for 7 at 8pm and they had no record of it anywhere. Luckily they were able to find us a table. So if you do end up going there, make sure to make a reservation and get the name of the person you spoke to.
The place looks very nice. Location is great. Very clean. Wonderful atmosphere.
The food on the other hand is different story.
Starters are about 80 NIS and mains are about 140 NIS on average, which is expensive and would be OK if the food was excellent but unfortunately we found that even though the food was presented beautifully, it was average at best.
For 1st course I got the seared tuna. The serving size was tiny! I was expecting a few pieces of tuna but instead it was more like one small cube cut into five tiny slices. While it did taste good it definitely was not enough to justify the 70 NIS it cost.
For main course I got the lamb shoulder (140 NIS). It was pretty average. It came with what can only be described as a "mashed potato pastry". Both the meat and the side dish were practically at room temperature.
Everyone else I was with had similar experiences with their dishes.
We didn't get dessert.
Cant say I would recommend eating here.
Kosher yes. But unfriendly to others with special dietary They don't seem to sympathize with vegetarians or vegans. I ordered Salmon but it came out cold. לא לצמחונים או טבעונים. אוכל טעים אבל קר.
Onr of the finest restaurants I've ever been to. Interesting and delicious food, presented beautifully. Very expensive, but worth it.
Best kosher restaurant in Jerusalem. Nice private room
Pleasant place, good food at reasonable price. Only problem are the bad accustics.
Cashers excellent
Not bad for a kosher place
Great food, wine and service!!
Delicious, comfortable vibe
One of Jerusalem's best meat restaurants
Nice cozy good service
A bit overpriced
Maybe that's why we were alone in the resto except for a group of five at lunch on a wed
High quality food, with a romantic setting, not cheap but definitely a lot cheaper than similar quality Kosher restaurants in the USA or Europe
Amazing atmosphere. Wonderful staff. and most importantly of all; the most exquisite food in all of Jerusalem. Great starters and delicious main courses that give more than generous portions. I would reccomend the shoulder lamb!
