Great day out, but all a bit confusing when we visited during mid term break, reception or ticket office not open. Children had a great time at Pirates Cove

Overall good experience for the price we paid. We got a deal for Adults 2 for 1 which was great. Kids really enjoyed the train experience. Also the bouncy castle.. Cafe in westport house has plain and simple food and it hits the spot after a few hours of walking..Kids and I enjoyed the cannonball run and also the go karts. As it was October we had no wait time for anything, weather was good, so that made it more enjoyable.. Also there is other rides which you need to pay extra for and these were closed in Oct..overall we were all happy. Good day.

Fantastic day out for the family. When we went part of the house was closed as they were preparing for a festival (prices were amended accordingly) and we still managed to be there for an entire day.

Very few rides & things to do. The few that are there a scattered in at lease three different places. You have to walk for "miles" to get from place to place. Most have to be paid for on top of large entry fee.
"New for 2017 a large wheel with pods to give views of the area. In the two hours or so we were there I did not see one person using it - may be because of the cost.
The whole place looks run down - no doubt why it was sold with the new owners promising they will spend £50 million. Obviously the would not have to spend £50 million if the place was ok - so until that money is spent we will all still have to fork out full price.
THERE ARE MANY REVIEWS ON THE WEB FROM "LOCAL GUIDES" SAYING HOW MARVELOUS THE PLACE IS - EITHER THESE PEOPLE ARE JOKING - OR HAVE VERY VERY VERY LOW EXPECTATIONS - OR THE HAVE MADE A MISTAKE AND REVIEWED THE WRONG PLACE.
The house itself looks tatty - apart from the chap on the door there seemed to be no direction or supervision through the house - so children were running and screaming all over the place.

A beautiful place to walk around. €58.50 for a family of 3 is awful as it includes next to nothing. €4 PER PERSON to get on the wheel is a disgrace when you have already spent a lot just to get in. Really disappointed!

It is not worthy at all!! don't spend your money in the Westport House and the Pirate Park. Most of the rooms were forbidden to visitors to walk through and others were completely closed. There is not that much to see in the house. The Pirate Park is good for kids but you have to pay extra money for some rides because they are not included in the price of the ticket. But I recommend you the walk around the house, it is very nice.

3 stars on the pirate adventure park package. The rides are good and a variety. You can spend 5 or 6 hours there, with a bit of repetition. But for some reason (i.e. cash) some rides are excluded and charge up to 4 euros per person to go on. Generally the really attractive ones to kids with the music blaring and lights. The big wheel, dodgems and most annoyingly a carousel just outside the ticket office are not free. Plagued by kids to go on these the whole day. The place would be better of without them at all as very few people were actually going on them and the kids wouldn't have missed them if not there. Food is limited and the price you expect in ireland if you are a captive hungry person.Overall though good day out if you get the weather and bring a packed lunch.
