We stopped in for dinner. It was an okay place. It was packed, so people must love it. We ordered seafood chowder, which was good and filling. While we enjoyed the food, the atmosphere just didn't vibe with us. I can't fault the bar though. Overall, they have good food and had live music.

Best pint of Guinness on tapno seriously this place is the real one. Every bar boasts but here it's the real deal for the freshest pint.

Its one of the oldest pubs in galway and one of the sites all tourists go and see, its worth having a pint and taking in its old fashioned charm as well as have a nice beer. They also do food but i have not not tried it, i have heard good things tho. Music nightly and there is a late bar / nightclub upstairs generally 10 euro cover charge. Generally brings in a country crowd rather then a city crowd. worth a look

As a bar or music venue, this place might be better but, as a restaurant, we found it to be pretty mediocre. The beef and Guinness stew was very tough and the seafood cocktail was . . . interesting. That said, being able to order oysters as an add-on to any beer is a definite plus so it's not all bad! That said, my advice is to remain upstairs and focus on beer and whiskey at this establishment.

Wonderful bar with a great atmosphere. Get here we'll ahead of the band so that you can grab a good seat. The place fills up quick once the music starts.

If you like nice music, there is usually nice bands playing in this bar.

Great spot to goto if looking for craic & ceol in galway, live music most nights, the inside is of a reconstructed old church on different split levels, very stunning & interesting, great place couldnt really fault it.

The security was terrible. He security guy told my boyfriend that he was in a bad spot, so he moved to the other side of me. But apparently that wasn't good either. So we decided to leave to another part of the pub. But the guy followed us while screaming at my boyfriend and calling him a bunch of names. It wasn't necessary at all since we were leaving anyways!? Like wth

    A beautiful Pub.
The Quays is stunning from inside, from outside you would never think that this pub has so many floors and stairs. Everday there is a music performance, great craic! Make sure to not miss out the nightclub upstairs, they have great performance and its a beautiful spot.

My favourite Galway bar. Great Guinness, lovely interior (worth it for a visit alone) and a great crowd. There's music, sports and food (though never had the latter). I can easily recommend it.

I had a great night! The Quays is animated but can get a little crammed, the decor is very cool, the live music was amazing and they had a great selection of beer.
