Don’t come here it you actually want to sleep. The smallest room doesn’t even have space to put your suitcase and it feels like you’re sleeping on a sofa in guest house. I was upgraded to the penthouse on the 2nd and 3rd night which was amaaaazing! I’d gladly pay for it next time. The food is excellent also, and the staff are incredible.

If I was rating this as a nightclub, I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately I am here to sleep but feel like I'm part of the party just outside my window. No other rooms available. The earplugs will not make a difference here. Especially looking forward to the next time they empty the beer bottle bins. Really chuffed this was one of the only places available to stay in Dublin when booking. My advice is book early and don't book here if you'd like to sleep. This is my first one star rating on google. If anyone else is in Dublin tonight and doesn't want to sleep, I have a spare bunk bed.

If I could give The Dean a minus score I would. Its situated next to a string of student bars/ clubs which start around midnight. My room was alongside one of the club terraces so noise levels prevented sleep. I've slept on more comfortable sofabeds. I have slept in bigger bedsits. All for the extortionate price of €225. Total and utter ripoff.

Overrated. I felt like I was in a hostel. Stay away from the bunk beds rooms. They are an absolute joke.
I am silly to like a genuine hipster experience but this is fake. Just bad for a four star.

Nice hotel but for the price very poor.

Whilst the photos look nice we were let down by three things.

1. The Court Yard - they have a picturesque court yard but when we went there in the evening for drinks people on the balconies above were flicking cigarette and one hit one of our friends and another landed right next to us. It is really not acceptable.

2. The Service - when we complained about this they did nothing about it and when we emailed the hotel the following day they never bothered to respond. You will find a theme when you stay here that they expect you spend a considerable amount of your money but once you pay they are happy to offer you very poor service.

3. At night the building next door is a night club and the music continues until 5am at weekends. To compensate for this they leave ear plugs on the first evening but expect you to use the same ones on the second evening, which if you have never used ear plugs is impossible and again poor service.

The most disappointing thing about The Dean is they have a nice hotel but rely on the aesthetics rather than service for you to book and once you complain during or after you stay they have no interest as you have already paid.

Beautifully restored with sensitive touch of modern architectural fittings, ground floor is in neon-illuminated sittee with intimate atmosphere, function room is long and with separate bar. However, the place falls short of providing adequate snacks and foodstuff even when ordered in advance; the biggest feeling I remember from a party there was hunger and everyone had to go out to some shop for a bite.

We had a drinks reservation that the company made at the bar in the Dean Hotel. At first sight the place is amazing, however, after getting to the fifth floor we've noticed that the table provided was outside. Now, we are in Dublin , at night, which means that the temperature was about 0° . We asked for a table for 20 inside since we've seen that there's was more than one available and we were told that they would only provide one if all of us ordered the main course. Obviously we left and went to Opium bar that gladly received us and provided an excellent service. So, overall, a very pretty place , maybe we had no luck in that day.

There is a night club next to the hotel or even in the hotel not sure. If you want to stay for a good party! Great place
If you need to work the next day look for a more quite place

Other than that, beautiful hotel!

I would like to congratulate the Dean for being the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I stayed here for business on a Tuesday night and my room was directly over an outdoor bar/club that was incredibly loud until 4 in the morning. I should have know it was going to be a disaster when I got to my room and saw that they had left 2 sets of ear plugs on my bed. This is the first ever hotel review I've written, and I'm actually very low maintenance when it comes to hotels, but this was so outrageous that I thought it deserved a review.

Stayed here for a quick night on a business trip. The hotel is nicely done, I like how the rooms have been built-out. They are very small, but done in such a way that you do not feel claustrophobic. Bathrooms are nice.

Keep in mind that you are in a noisy neighbourhood. When I was there, there was noise through the window from the ventilation behind + venues, inside the hotel from the other guests and noise from the discotheques around (you could feel the rythm in your chest). They warn you, though.

If you want a nice, friendly hotel in the middle of the party district, then the dean is your choice. Breakfast & food is quite expensive.

What a beautiful & vibrant place to have dinner, Decor is amazing. We could not fault anything. Staff where so attentive, if we needed anything there was always someone near by to offer a helping hand. Had worried it would be very expensive but we where very surprised when the bill arrived, very reasonably priced. Great offerings and we will be back. Thank you to our amazing waitress Sarah, a wee gem you have there guys. Holly

Pros are very stylish, clean and upscale feel. The rooftop bar is awesome and rooms are impeccable. The rain shower is the only one we found in the last 4 hotels that actually has consistent hot water and water pressure and is very relaxing. Flat screen TV is nice and they even have Netflix and real cable TV (not weird hotel channels). Staff is informative and helpful. Cons are no parking available, they do validate for a garage ( around 18 euro for 24 hrs) but it's a 10 minute walk with luggage. Also there's a popular night club literally right next door and is very loud at night, the music was going and patrons were outside until at least 3am, which we could hear even with the ear plugs provided. Overall would recommend if you are traveling light and you're a heavy sleeper, otherwise just come get a drink at their rooftop bar/restaurant.
