Great little Victorian pub. Lovely food. Perfect for a rainy day comfort.

Fantastic relaxed ambience and the space feels intimate. Wonderfully aged steaks cooked to perfection. A must stop when in Dublin.

Ideal local pub for a pint with very tasty food also. The bar staff could not be more friendly. Highly recommend

Fantastic went for a casual dinner with my husband and son and the food was fantastic. My husband said the Guinness was very good! My son is only 17 months and was being difficult (as they do) but the the staff were top notch and made light of it. We're not in dublin often but the next time we come down I won't go past Ryan's!! Cheers!!

This may just be the best pub and restaurant I've been at in my whole vacation in Ireland. I had the 10oz Rib Eye steak and I can promise you: It's one of the best steaks you'll ever eat. The rest of the menu is full of quality dishes such as fresh oysters, other seafood and great–sounding and –tasting mains and desserts. Now what is really amazing me is that, compared to any other drinks menus I've seen, this one is huge. You can find anything imaginable in an Irish pub: Victorian feel, style and charme, great, fresh foods, alcohol and cigars!

I ordered the scallops to start with tasted extremely fishy which is the sign of undress or frozen seafood and my partners starter of pate was extremely bland. I ordered a fillet steak which arrived to the table on a plate with only a 50ml ramekin of pepper sauce which came with a few chips on the side for € 37. The steak was cooked badly and was chewy to say the least but with the blunt knives given to us it was like mission impossible to eat it. Extremely over priced for the poor level of cooking and quality of food used and the chef had presentation skills of my 14 month old.

So I will never be back and I urge anyone thinking of eating here to avoid it as it was that bad .

Great service (friendly bartenders!) and great food. If you don't get a seat upstairs, just ask for the upstairs menu from the bar.

When walking into the pub i was pleasantly surprised by the decor and overall look. This surprise turned to disappointment at the lack of attention to detail as it took 15mins to get served at the bar even though the bar was not busy. After being initially served the barman then forgot about my order only remembered after being prompted by me. I found the overall customer service from the staff to be very rude and would not recommend visiting. In the local area there are nicer pubs with better service and a nicer vibe.

Absolutely gorgeous food and great pints. Bar downstairs is excellent, laid back and unpretentious. My husband-to-be and I have been going to FXB Parkgate Street for the last five years and it is always superb! Would highly recommend it for family meet ups and also for couples.
