If you need a break and want either tea or a meal I recommend this place. It's an elegant old building with high ceilings and fine woodwork. The restaurant was well run with very attentive wait staff. Four adults with three (always moving) small children came in before lunch and they served us tea and cakes. Once the kitchen was ready to begin food preparations they served us all a most excellent lunch. I noticed a well dressed, mature, professional looking woman come in for her regular lunch and many tables where friends who were in town shopping perhaps met for tea or lunch. The entrance is along the scenic river walk.

A really beautiful room . Really old fashioned room with very high ceilings . Not sure what it would be like in winter though . The owner/manager really seem to pay attention. Had a gluten free menu which had enough options on it . The food was nice also

This was one of the few restaurants around the area where we stayed and it took almost an hour of walking to get to it. But I must say, the food didn't disappoint! The ambience was also very nice as you can see in the pictures. Would love to have the chance to go back to this palce.

We found this place--and Ennis as a whole--on a whim. A great find! We sat outside on the river and enjoyed a nice day. The friendly staff promptly took our order and served our food. And said food was delicious! I'm not sure what makes it "Mediterranean" style food, but I don't carebecause it was great. I highly recommend the tagliatelle.
