I just love Roly's they do great food to take away or to sit-down.

Great selection of food all so fresh. Desserts to die for. I adore their cooked chicken it's something I look forward to eating weekly.

Both the set menu and the à la carte menu contained many tempting options. We chose the set menu and were not disappointed. Service was friendly & attentive and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back next time we are in Ballsbridge.

The waiting staff were extremely patient with a family member of mine that can be difficult food wise! Appreciated their professionalism and patience in taking our order and organising the food for our table. A pleasant afternoon, and will definitely be back again.

Food and service is good. My only issue with the place is that they add automatically a 10% service charge to the bill, which is fine normally, but the waiter told our table (surprised that we asked) that the restaurant keep that for themselves and don't pass it on to the wait staff, so we felt we had to add another 10% on top This was on a bill of over 400 EUR (it's not a cheap restaurant) so it's a decent chunk of money and I felt the restaurant was ripping me off and ripping their own staff off.

I was delighted that Roly's remained open on a day when so many other businesses closed (the day of Ophelia), and the food was as delicious as ever. I was slightly disappointed that the Kerry hot-pot wasn't on the lunch menu, as it was my mum's favourite meal, and it was on the online menu. Staff were very friendly and helpfully assisted for my coeliac sister in choosing gf options. The courses were served at suitable intervals; we didn't feel rushed as is the case in many restaurants today, and there was time for chat in between courses, but not so much that we felt like we were waiting. Just perfect! A very enjoyable experience overall.

After we were seated and given menus and a wine list the waiter called back to take our order, but I was still looking at the wine list the on his return, we ordered 2 glasses of white, a bootle of red and the food.Our starters arrived but none of the wines and we were eating as slowly as possible so we could have the white wine with our starter. The white and red arrived after I asked another waiter. We eat there quite regularly and this seems to be the norm as they appear to have to go down stairs to the bar to order and get the drinks. It is a small thing, but thought you might like to be aware of it. Will definitely be returning as the food is top class.

We had great food and good service during our lunch at Roly's Bistro. The restaurant is very stylish and comfortable. We were left waiting for our table water and the time between finishing our main course and being asked about desert & coffee was longer than we would be used to. However it did not take away from an enjoyable visit!

This is one of my favourite restaurants. I love the atmosphere here. The service and staff are amazing and food is always delicious. It is so well presented. It is perfect for group gatherings or a romantic setting.

The best Caesar salad and rib of beef steak with brandy and peppercorn sauce in Dublin! Thoroughly enjoyed it and really can't wait to go back again. The baked lemon cheesecake was delicious and refreshing. The coffee was a perfect finish to a truly enjoyable meal.

I've visited this place multiple times, and the experience varies, but I'll probably come back anyway. The staff often looks confused when you say that you're there without a reservation, but they usually can find a spot to sit. The menu hasn't changed much, and is better during lunch (especially the sides) than during dinner. If you're in the Sandymount area this is a good place to eat, but there is no reason to travel to get here.

When our booking couldn't be found we were treated most sympathetically until we were seated. It was an extremely busy lunchtime on a Friday and the service was a bit slower than usual. The food and wine were superb and in all it was a very pleasant experience.

I had the opportunity to have dinner with some colleagues in Roly’s last evening. I had never been there before and I was looking forward to it as I have known of Roly’s reputation for a long time. There were 6 of us and our table was the one at the corner on the right hand side of the first floor.

Our experience was not good at all and we were pretty disappointed. The food was not great. The fish and chips was very ordinary. The batter was greasy and the chips were not home-made. I had it myself and had an awful night getting sick this morning. The salmon was very plain, and the food was not served hot enough. Vegetables were cold and the salads weren’t good.

The service was embarrassing a good few times. One of my colleagues was ordering dessert and changed her mind but the waiter did not understand this properly. They brought her the wrong coffee, she said that was not her order and the waiter came again with the same coffee arguing that she had ordered it. A second time, this waiter came after we have paid with a new bill saying very rudely we hadn’t paid the pre-drinks as if we weren’t willing to pay. This was really embarrassing.

To be perfectly honest and having been to a few good restaurants in Dublin, Roly’s food and service last night was not worth over 25 euro wine included.

I certainly won’t recommend it and wont return either.

We had here an early supper as we went to the city centre. Nice spot, well located with different variety/kinds of delicious dishes. They serve it very quickly & staff is very friendly.

The quality of the food was actually very good for the starters and desserts, however I ticked the 'fair' box because both the person opposite me and I ordered the lamb & vegetable pie for the main course - afterwards we both agreed that it had been beef, not lamb in the pies, and rather tough beef at that. We felt it was an insult to our intelligence! We did not say anything at the time as it was a birthday lunch and we did not want to upset the host, whose birthday it was.

One of my mother's favourite spots in Dublin, so I have fond memories of it. Quality of the food is very high and with good vegetarian options. Haven't been for a couple of years, will have to go back soon. Would recommend.
